Such a beautiful venue for a relaxing outdoor dining under a huge tree! With 10+ people, we were able to get reservations for a busy Sunday afternoon. Lots of interesting stuff on display in the front of the store and on the side garden. The food was pretty good (though salty, see tip), I had the Galveston Pasta, it was very well prepared with good quality ingredients and tasty. Several people had the Texas Trio as lunch and it looked pretty good. I had a bite of the crab cake and it was delicious. Several people had the seafood gumbo and it was very good, not too salty. Others in the party had burger and quesadillas, and they liked their selections. The complimentary Apple Fritters and the muffins were excellent! :) Tip: The food was good, though everything was a bit salty to our taste, it’s probably due to the southern style cuisine. I drank a lot of water. Next time, we’d definitely request low sodium. Parking: even though there is a small lot behind the store, almost everyone in our party had an issue with parking on a busy Sunday. Only one party got a space in the lot, most of us had to practice our parallel parking skills in front of the restaurant.

Very unique American restaurant with a Texas/Southern touch. We’d passed by this restaurant hundreds of times and always wondered what it was like. Was looking for a special place to take my spouse for his Birthday and looked up Shenandoah and loved what I saw on the menu and the cool ambiance so booked a reservation. It did not disappoint. The fresh baked Apple Fritters that are being offered throughout your dinner are simple but amazing. There is a wide variety of dishes, many of which are Southern inspired. We had the Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer and they were some of the best I’ve ever had - not JUST fried green tomatoes but the garnishes and sauces that came with them really took them to a higher class. We both chose the Tomatillo Chicken Soup with our dinner - and it was practically a meal in itself. Super yummy! I got the country fried steak (half portion which was plenty for me) - there are many ways to cook this dish and this was more of the Texas way than the Georgia way I grew up with but it was great. And the Mashed Potatoes were delicious too. Besides the Apple Fritters they also always have fresh baked homemade rolls available which were so soft and tasty. Besides the food, the service and the ambiance on the patio were as good as it gets. I’d recommend going in the evening just after sunset so you can experience the lights at night. And definitely sit on the patio! Overall, a 5 star restaurant that I’m sure we’ll be bringing all our friends too!

Beautiful outdoor area to eat at. The food was delicious. We had the prime rib and the pistachio crusted sea bass. The fried green tomatoes were great too. Service is swift. Easy 5 stars.

Great time for Easter Lunch with the family. I normally get the pistachio crusted fish but this time I opted for the country Fried pork Chops with mash and gravy. Food was delicious, was impressed by the apple fritters and fresh bread they gave I highly recommend for lunch or breakfast as they have a nice outdoor area.

Fried Green Tomatoes were delish!! The crabcakes were good too- not too much filler. Service was perfect and the atmosphere was beautiful. The Koi pond was a very nice touch!

I loved this place. Food was delicious. I had the fried tomatoes and Chili Verde soup. The outside eating area was fantastic; service was awesome. Seating is spaced perfectly. Coffee ☕ was good.

Another Gem of a place! Hidden but great place to have a meal, the ambience just relaxes you. The staff is mostly friendly the food is pretty good. We had granny’s fried chicken which tasted good but wish it was thicker or better yet a standard whole chicken breast instead of the thinner boneless breast filet. With a bit larger menu this place would be a 5 star! I recommend having lunch here, but I’m pretty sure dinner would be better with the tree lights on and cooler patio to eat in.

Really impressed with the place... beautiful patio to eat at on the outside..it makes feel like you're somewhere away from the city...food is good had the Granny chicken w/mash potatoes...tasted the pasta- good too...next to this place are some craft shops really cute n beautiful things to get for the home to decorate ❤
