Decided to stop here as we were driving through Louisiana. My family loves seafood and the reviews were great. I was definitely disappointed and the food was not what I expected. I ordered my crab legs and shrimp with the “Shane seasoning” and expected it to be well marinated like a seafood boil. Instead, our platters arrived with the season merely sprinkled on top. The staff were friendly and the food arrived quickly so I’ll give them 3 stars but if you’re looking for a seafood boil type of flavor, definitely not the right place.

Shane's Seafood and BBQ takes pride in crafting an exceptional Gumbo that's a true testament to Southern culinary tradition. This rich and hearty stew is a harmonious blend of flavors, featuring succulent shrimp, tender crab, and spicy Andouille sausage, all swimming in a savory, roux-based broth. Every spoonful of Shane's Gumbo is a journey through the bayou, delivering a soul-warming taste that's both comforting and deeply satisfying. Served with a side of rice, it's a true Southern delicacy that captures the essence of Louisiana cuisine, and a must-try dish for anyone looking to savor the flavors of the South.

It’s a good place to eat. The catfish was good and the Shane’s Sauce was yummy. It was like a Cajun Ranch type of sauce. The chicken strips were really good too! My brother in law had their crawfish 🦞 platter and he said it was delicious. I’m not very fond of crawfish so, though I tasted one, I don’t really like crawfish and can’t say one way or another. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I have attached some pics. My dad said the ribs were good and he’s fairly picky about ribs so that’s a good sign. My wife said the brisket sandwich was okay but not great. Overall it was a nice place.

We decided on a whim to try this place Sunday after church and we weren't impressed. My wife ordered the crab cakes with Étouffée and I ordered the catfish with Étouffée. It was OK just nothing impressive. The Étouffée was a little pasty. My baby girl ordered the pasta with Alfredo sauce but it was closer to a runny Mac and cheese than real Alfredo. Would I come back? Not from what we tried on this visit. I may come back and try some BBQ before I make up my mind completely though. There are definitely better options for Cajun food in the area.

Our orders were a 1/3 burger plate, a chopped BBQ beef with a side of okra, Jambalaya lunch, bbq by the pound brisket, and a spicy chicken sandwich plate with fries. We also ordered fried pickles. All of us enjoyed the fried pickles. Everyone gave their plate a 4 star.

We don't get food like this in Nevada! So we kinda tried it all. First time I've had catfish that didn't taste like dirt. Amazing variety on the menu and great service. Much appreciated!

This is a great place to get Cajun food. I usually order a catfish platter, which comes with fries, three fried catfish, sauce, a small soup, and a small container of coleslaw. This time I decided to get a loaded baked potato and a bowl of Crawfish Etouffee. I ended up eating the crawfish etoufee because it tasted the best. I saved the catfish for later because there was too much food for one meal.

Ribs were so tender! Brisket was awesome to (I like the way they have it cut) will be back when coming through this way.
