User Reviews

I should have listened to the other recent reviews but decided to try this place anyway after it was recommended to us. Everything was bland, zero flavor. For the outrageous price they charge plus a service fee on the receipt, nothing should be flavorless. We had to salt our entire meal. The streaks were cooked right but zero seasoning or flavor. This was not worth what they charged. There was no cocktail menu and the food menu looked like it belonged in a diner and not a place who claims to be fine dining. It was very underwhelming. And if you're there on date night, don't expect to talk to each other, they put 2 tops in the middle of large parties so our food came out very late and we couldn't even talk to each other over the large parties surrounding us to pass the time. Overall not great, we won't be going there again.

Let me start by saying 3 stars is very generous; I would rate 2.5 if google allowed. My girlfriend and I dined here Wednesday 5/3 to celebrate her birthday. I knew it would be expensive, but based on largely positive reviews, we decided to give it a shot. Our server was polite but I did feel as if we were a bit rushed despite it being a quiet weekday evening without many other people dining there. My girlfriend ordered a mango margarita, which was quite good and probably the best part of the meal. I ordered the prime rib, cooked medium rare. It was cooked perfectly and was very juicy, but lacked heavily in flavor. It was a massive piece of meat and I did take a good portion home for leftovers. Overall I would say the prime rib is a 3/5 but not worth the price in my opinion. The side of garlic mashed potatoes was very good, no complaints there. My girlfriend ordered the Surf & Turf; filet mignon cooked medium rare & two lobster tails. She got the garlic mashed potatoes as well. The filet was quite simply one of the worst steaks either of us have ever had. It was tough, part of it was heavily overcooked (see photo), and had absolutely no flavor. I hate to say it, but I have had much better steaks at far less expensive chain "steakhouses." The lobster was good with tasty melted butter but it did not make up for the awful steak, especially at $95 for the plate. We are not overly picky diners and will rarely complain but upon seeing the left over filet in the light of our own kitchen (not the dimly let restaurant), we should have complained. Simply unacceptable. I will also note that our server did not ask how everything was at the end of our meal and seemed to hand us to go boxes in a hurry to get us out of there. In summary, we are both thoroughly disappointed and will not be returning to Seven Stars Inn. Maybe we went on an off night, but it is not worth trying again for the hefty price tag.

We went for Valentine's Day and despite them being very busy, service was great! Our server was Brooke and she was nice and very attentive despite having a lot of tables to manage. We both had the Filet Mignon and it was very good. As with most of their entrees, the portions were huge and both of ours were done perfectly as ordered. We had carrot cake for dessert and it was also very good. We can't wait to return!

8 of us had dinner last night here for a birthday& it was honestly one of the best experiences i have ever had! The food was Outstanding! My surf & turf had a perfectly cooked medium rare filet w/ very tender Lobster. Great quality. Our waitress Michelle was the best! We never had to want for anything, before even noticing she is on top of drink refills & anticipated all of our needs! She was so friendly & really on top of everything. I would definitely request her next time we dine(she wears red glasses).

Walking into the building was a throw back to 1970’s decor. The place had not been touched literally since then. The ladies room was small Decorated with 1970’s wallpaper and curtains. Carpets were worn through and dirty. The staff was nice enough but over worked. Leaving that aside, I tried to keep an open mind as to the food. The menu was standard beef and seafood, but the prices were some of the most expensive I’ve ever seen anywhere around the world. Okay still with an open mind I ordered what I’d hoped Would be the smallest cut of meat. What I got was an enormous piece of filet mignon which literally repulsed me to the point where I could only take a few bites. I understand that’s what this place is famous for but I believe that the excessive qualities of beef that are served is frankly gross. My partner ordered a roast beef cut and couldn’t eat 1/4 of it. If you want to have leftover food in your refrigerator for the next week then this is the place for you. Overall the food tasted fine but the massive portions to me where a turn off.

Seven Stars Inn never disappoints. This is my annual birthday dinner spot. See the beautiful hanging off the plate perfectly prepared prime rib that centered my special day. It's also a wonderful spot to entertain visitors to deliver a genuine OG Pennsylvania experience. The portions are big but the skill used and quality of the food proves that the large generous portions are far more than a gimick. The historic building sets the mood and I get lost in thoughts of all those that have dined under that roof since the 1700's. Something special to have so close to home. This business and the building are a bit of American history and it's story is still being told. BYOB is available several nights during the week with no corkage fee making that a great incentive for a weeknight dinner for the grown ups....call your sitter and reserve a table. I've said it before many times that any restaurant that serves it's perfectly prepared baked potatoes wrapped in gold foil holds a kitchen you can depend on.

I enjoy going to this restaurant only because my fiance love their food . As for me I don't think the food is all that great however they do give you a huge portion for your money. Next time I go there I will order my meal to share with my fiance Because they give you enough food for 2 people to eat.

I visit here at least three times a year. The bartenders are so pleasant and knowledgeable. And I guess I shouldn’t say Bartender I should say mixologist. Our server Vicky Was Excellent. her knowledge of the menu in how the food was prepared was super. She even suggested a Wine for dinner. The food presentation was excellent. My king cut of prime rib was superb and the taste was Out of this world. What a wonderful Mother’s Day.
