We went for brunch and there was a band playing outside on the patio/sidewalk area. Was really good. I had the banana bread French toast which blew my mind cause I had never had, heard or seen it before. I’m not gonna lie it literally looked like meatloaf but it wasn’t and was delicious. My kids got the bacon & egg on a English muffin pizza. Literally the whole dough/crust was a English muffin basically. Normal pizza size. Was just out of the box I thought anyway. Was my first and only time I had been there. Hopefully we will get back there someday

Amazing pizza place. My very first taste of the famous Connecticut-style "apizza". It was crispy, thin, had a flavorful punchy sauce. Also the two ladies who served us that night were fantastic and super nice.

Great atmosphere, beautiful decor and very friendly staff and wait staff. Coal fired pizza you say? It was cooked the exact way I was hoping. Great thin crust, fresh, sweet enough tomatoe sauce, cheese was the exact right proportion, sweet onions were exactly as I like them, pepperoni and 1/2 artichoke hearts, also proportioned just right. I was told good things about Sasso's and they did not disappoint.

The place looks nice, but I never dined in. The staff was friendly. I recently ordered a large cheese pizza for takeout. The pizza was ok. The crust was burned in places and the pie was a little chewy. Again , it was ok pizza, but for a $25 plain cheese I kind of expect excellent. It was definitely not worth the price.

We had ceaser salad for starters followed by small pizzas that were more like large. The drinks were tasty.

Ordered the Pana Cotta, Meatball Ricotta and an 18” pizza with hot sausage, bacon and hot peppers. I wish my stomach was bigger. Portions were beyond generous, and the food was amazing. Great flavor on the appetizers and the pizza was perfectly topped and charred. Had a couple of beers in the bar area while I was waiting on the food, and the tap and bottle selection offered a beer for whatever anyone could be in the mood for. Wish I got to sample some of the drink menu because that looked top notch as well. I was impressed with the way the bar staff was able to handle the work load while also being hospitable and attentive. 10/10 recommend Sasso’s.

May 2023 - always happy to return to Sasso's. We chose to sit outside on this warm windy Spring day. The garlic and herb wings were flavorful, crisp and moist but a little oily. The white clam and bacon pizza was a new choice for us from their menu and really delicious. # Another fine meal at Sasso's in August 22. It had been some time since experiencing their shrimp, bacon and spinach pizza with red sauce and we wanted to try it again. Still delivers. Also still excellent are their smoked chicken wings. We ordered half Buffalo and half Garlic and Herb. Two special cocktails, Lavender French and the Perfect Manhattan above par. # If an opportunity presents itself to go to Sasso's, personal or professional, I'm there. Delicious food. Sitting outside after a recent event, a good variety of a dozen pizzas came to our long table, as well as two salads, Caesar and mixed vegetables, and sausage with broccoli rabe. Favorite pizza for me was the white pizza with sausage. # Every time I drive by Sasso's I want to pull over and get a pizza. There is always some pressing appointment, or too small a window to sit down and eat or some other reason it doesn't happen. So the other day driving my partner somewhere nearby, we agreed we didn't care if we only had twenty minutes, we were getting Sasso's pizza. We didn't have time for their wings sadly, but ordered their Meat Head pizza with bacon, sausage, pepperoni and meatball. Even better, we were glad to see we could order two specialty cocktails from the new bar Sasso's built next to their main room and kitchen. Great idea. We would get wine or beer before, but it was the right idea for Sasso's to expand and add a full size bar and tables to their already popular establishment. Our waitress said they put it in around a year ago, which shows how many times we or I have driven by and not been able to stop! Taking photos, I was pleasantly surprised to walk by the door that connects the newer bar to the original space and see the chef was actually tossing our pizza dough high in the air and catching it, in true old style. Each catch and spin the dough got bigger and thinner until it reached the right size to be prepared for the signature coal fired oven. Sasso's has always had a cool interior with high ceilings, wood, metal, exposed brick and a combined rustic but modern feel. The bar space is an extension of this with plenty of tables, a long bar and the same modern soundtrack playing over the speakers. Our service was quick, the pizza was hot and savory and the drinks were well-made in petite glasses. We boxed up what we couldn't finish to enjoy the next day and were only five minutes late! We will find time to enjoy this spot more frequently, it's such a delight. Give it a try if you haven't yet. # We returned here a few days ago and the wings are still double baked and juicy. We tried the meat pizza this time with sausage, pepperoni, bacon and hamburger and it was really good just like their shrimp pizza we usually order. We do find since the crust here is so thin and crispy it's best to eat right there in the restaurant rather than take it to go in a box which steams it in transit to be too moist. # Great smoked wings with a crispy skin from the coal fired oven. Today's pizza was delicious with shrimp, bacon and spinach. Diners have a choice of red or white sauce. Wine and beer bar. Our cappuccinos were really good. The chef came out and asked his patrons how their food was which we appreciated. Their sangria which the menu says is made daily wasn't on hand except for one last glass which we ordered. Tasty.

Jazz brunch was incredible! Classics on the menu like eggs benedict and waffles but kicked up a notch with short ribs and chorizo sausage. Excellent cocktails and cappuccino! Excellent value and support local. They grow their own lettuce and make their own bread! Live music for free from 2 well-known musicians for freeeee! Haven't even tried the pizza yet but it looks phenomenal as everyone raves about it. Everything on the menu is so good and the salads are huge!
