Best Pastrami around. You would never know it if just passing through. They used to up the Avenue closer to the Belt Parkway exit. Now deeper into Howard Beach but worth the extra few blocks. If you cant ter yo Katz's Deli in NYC, just come here. Huge and delicious perfectly seasoned pastrami. If you want breakfast or deli they got that too. But come back for the pastrami for sure.

Great pastrami sandwich! Best in Queens!

I travel from Ling Island just to go to this place. Always great. But, last week was really off. We order the Pastrami on rye. For some reason, maybe just a off day for them, the food was the worse we ever had there. We actually went up a few blocks and feed the whole thing to the birds by the water. I will try them again, because every other time, the sandwiches were the best. As stated,, must have been a off day for them( and me) Ended up eating pizza instead. One more thing, the people who work there, are polite, pleasant, and really nice people. But, a little advice, train the girl( maybe she was new) who takes the order. I will go back, as I really think it was a bad day for them. And for the past 3 years that we have been going, it was always a 10 in my book.

Stopped here to pick up something quick for breakfast. The service was prompt and efficient. The staff was also friendly. I ordered a toasted raisin bagel with cream cheese and it was everything that it should've been. The bagel was toasted just right on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. The pastrami is also great in my opinion. Reminds me a bit of katzs but not as expensive.

It all depends on the cut of meat that day. I ordered pastrami sandwiches for the guys at my job a few weeks ago and they were fantastic. I went back last Friday and again ordered pastrami sandwiches. When we got back to the shop and opened them up they were loaded with fat and completely inedible. We dropped 60 dollars in that place and it all went into the garbage. Also, they stopped giving small salads out with your order. A 15 dollar pastrami sandwich and they cant give you a quarter pound container of potato salad on the house? I would have given this place 1 star but unfortunately I can't reset the button. The sandwich wasn't fit for a dog to eat. An insult of the highest order. Goodbye Sapienza, I'll take my business elsewhere.

I was visiting family from Reno and went with my wife who is from Broad Channel. We went to get sandwiches and I saw the sign "we are king of pastrami in Queens". I thought that was a bold statement so I went for the pastrami sandwich. THE ABSOLUTE BEST SANDWICH I HAVE EVER EATEN. I am not lying when I say I will get on a plane from Reno right now just to get that sandwich. I had dreams about it, no kidding

Breakfast here is far from stellar. I'll try it again during lunch and order the famous pastrami sandwich. Hoping it gets better. Update: 05/15/17, Famous Pastrami sandwich was really good. Young blonde cashier was still very rude, every other employee was still very nice. Food still expensive.

I've been here maybe 3 times over the past few years. The service is chilly but who cares if sandwiches were banging? Sadly, they're just ordinary - even the pastrami was more greasy than flavorful. And they need to get over themselves on their prices
