Dinner between 330-4pm Sunday 4/16/23 Waitress -Sarah , I give her a 110 % BEST waitress I’ve ever had. Lovely , energetic, personable, and says she enjoys her job and loves working for SaltGrass . Explained food & drink choices , options . Enjoyed this evening very much . I have posted this Salt grass before .. if so, I had to again for exceptional service with Sarah and well the food too. Sarah made it very enjoyable. She told us a short story about her love for rescue animals. 😊 by the way .. my husband & I shared 12oz Ribeye is why it may have seemed like a smaller plate , they separated for us .
The ambiance is great for dates, family-dining & friendly get-together. Shrimp coctail just breaks the ice for robust appetite. The cocktail sauce just prepares your palate for awesome gastronomic experience. The food outstanding, steak-quality will pass with flying colors for people with food peculiarities. The chicken tortilla soup was good. The chocolate cake was to die for with our coffee. I was surprise there is italian water of pelegrino-brand. This is one of my pecularities. The waitress was very pleasant, attentive & I was glad she talked me of trying the chocolate cake. Ultimate perfection for our 37 yr Wedding Anniversary.
This place may seem nice, I went to the Salt Grass in Rockwall to have a simple chicken fried steak dinner with my daughter. Hers came out exactly as ordered, I asked for gravey and a side of extra gravey. It came out with neither. It was as naked as the day I was born. The kitchen staff who bought it assured me he would get the gravy he did not. Five minutes later, my waitress arrived and tried half-heartedly tried to fix the issue, but by that time, it was too late as my daughter was well into her meal. The whole idea of eating out was to eat together thanks to the staff there that ship had sailed and I'm out the $68 including the less than deserved tip. Saltgrass needs to change their processes the person that takes the order should deliver the order so at least their is some sort of quality control
Great experience tonight for dinner, from the hostess, to our waitress, and even the manager all we're very friendly and helpful. Tip of the cap to the cooks, our steaks were cooked perfectly, and full of flavor. We give it the 👍🏼 up We will be back 🔙

Saltgrass is one of our favorites. We always get fried mushrooms. Order with cocktail sauce. You won’t regret it. My only complaint is slow bar service. If you sit at the bar, it’s great. But if you are in the main dining room it takes forever. Other than that the service is great.
The Saltgrass Steak House, located in Rockwall, Texas, is "amazing," and the food was great. This location got it right. Everything was perfect. It's definitely a 5-Star experience. I went to this location 2 weeks ago to celebrate my birthday and eat good food. First, I must say, the management and staff are friendly, engaging, and attentive. I sat at the bar, and it felt like I was at" Cheers, where everyone knows your name ♡. " Thank you, Eric, for your awesome service. *Dinner was delicious. I ordered the New York Strip Steak, sautéed mushrooms, green beans, and the smoked mac and cheese. Mouth watering... a dinner fit for a queen or a king. I enjoyed my dinner. And then it was time for my dessert. I selected the carrot cake, and the portion size was enormous. * The carrot cake was freshly made overall absolutely delicious. I went to heaven... Lol, the food, the people, and the service were excellent. It's a great dining experience always.
Service was okay. We had to wait about 15 minutes for the waiter to show his face in our area, each and every time. St the same time, the place was staffed very well. With that being said he was attentive when we did see him. The potato soup was very flavorful. The ranch rattlers are top 10 best jalapeño poppers I have ever had. The stake was laking. It was over seasoned, but not dry.
