This is one of the best places for sushi in Burke! All the fish was fresh and delicious and the presentation was absolutely stunning. I ordered the sweetheart roll and it was shaped into such a cute heart. The noodles came out hot and flavorful. The waitstaff were kind and attentive and were always there for refills. 5/5 will be coming back!

First time at this restaurant and I was blown away by the food and the service! The hibachi was served in a big portion and it was very filling. The flavors melded wonderfully. The sushi came out looking so beautiful and they were as good as they looked. The fish was very fresh and even the simpler rolls were well executed. This little restaurant is a hidden gem in Burke and one of the best around! I will definitely be coming back!

Best sushi in Burke. Stellar service and beautiful presentation of the dishes. We have been coming here for years and love it every time. Even when they’re packed they still get the food out in a timely manner. We are always impressed and look forward to visiting each time.

I never write comments on restaurants, but I must today. If you like sushi, DO NOT come here. This Sakura in Burke, VA, has the poorest excuse for fish. It doesn’t even look like fish. And they hide it by adding the word “Crunchy” to their rolls. This means they burry fish meal in bread crumbs and then roll it in rice. I had no choice but to return 6 rolls our family of 5 ordered. Our server tried to be accommodating. She did try to explain what “Crunchy” means at this Sakura. We will never ever return. They gave us 10% off a $150 bill.

Great little locally-owned restaurant. The sushi chefs are creative with delicious, fresh ingredients and inventive presentations. No need to drive far for a great spicy crunchy tuna roll or rainbow roll. Bonus: stylish interior, attention to detail, great service. YOu will be back

Sakura Grill, a restaurant in Burke, VA, that aims for authenticity but instead, ends up as a culinary paradox. Like a movie with an all-star cast but a lackluster plot, the restaurant's name promises grilled delights, yet the menu offers none to savor. The sushi selection is vast, like an ocean teeming with exotic fish, yet it leaves diners floundering in indecision. While the sushi is enjoyable, it lacks that certain something (je ne sais quoi) that would make it truly memorable. The fried rice, on the other hand, is more akin to a home-cooked meal that leaves you feeling underwhelmed and wondering why you didn't just stay in and cook for yourself. However, Sakura Grill redeems itself with their Rangoon's, an explosion of flavor that could make fireworks envious. But the true star of the show is "Angel," the server who brings joy and levity to your dining experience. Her presence is like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, making the meal worthwhile even if the food is merely "good." Sakura Grill is a restaurant that teeters between mediocrity and potential greatness, with the ever-charming Angel as the linchpin holding it all together. A solid 3 stars out of 5, for now, with hopes that they will blossom into a more remarkable dining destination.

My husband and I went to Sakura Grill for my 23rd birthday. The staff (Angel) and the chef (JJ) welcomed us with a very warm welcome. We ordered some sushi rolls which were so fresh and delicious. And they gave me a free dessert for my birthday ( so kind ! ). And their Halloween decoration even made my birthday night much fancy and more better. I had such a great night here. Highly recommend !!

I’m a type of person who rarely leaves good reviews, but honestly this tiny cute restaurant is so luscious, the way the itamae (head sushi chef) made and decorated my order it’s just HEAVEN… Also a huge applaud to the owner on how hygienic the restaurant is!!!
