Honestly, this was one of the best Arabic restaurants I have been to. They don't advertise but there are no shortage of people. I had the chicken shawarma and took home a pound of gyro meat. Next door at the Arabian market they make fresh pita bread daily. You should definitely make this a stop when you are one the other side of the river, don't let the bridge intimidate you!
Such a quaint restaurant with delicious food and great service! Everything was authentic and tasty. I had a Greek salad and a chicken shawarma plate. (I forgot to take a picture of the shawarma plate. Sorry.) Personally I don’t like hummus. But these people made me a believer. The hummus that came with the shawarma was so good that I ate every bit of it and literally scraped the plate to get every morsel of that shawarma I could get! It really was THAT GOOD!! You won’t be sorry by eating here!
I had the last lamb shank that was available and boy do I feel lucky, the meat fell right off the bone, was so tender and delicious. Everything at Sahara is top notch, I enjoyed the appetizer sampler, the falafel is delicious and would have been my top choice if it was not for the Lamb Shank. If you've never had Lamb Shank and you are a meat lover, head over to Sahara, they don't have it available every day so make sure to call ahead if your heart is set on it. I'd go there regardless, you won't be disappointed.
The food was very good. I got the half and half chicken and beef shawarma and really enjoyed it. I feel the portion size was acceptable for the price although mine was biased towards the chicken but I was overall quite pleased with my supper. The humus was also great too if you're a fan of it.
Off the beaten path but a good find. Food is great. Salad is fresh and of good quality, not the typical iceberg and a tomato. Everything is made with care.
Amazing food. Authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. From the refreshing Lebanese tea and mint tea to the Hummus and Babaganoush and kibbie, everything was perfect. Server was super busy and yet service was flawless. I can't wait to be back!
Parked close to the door. My wife and I wanted a little snack. We each ordered lentil soup, and we shared a hummus dip appetizer. Food was plentiful and delicious. Service was good. Prices were reasonable, except for the tea ($4.39). Only negative is that I had to ask for my change when I paid. This was the second time I ate here, and both times they kept the change when I paid. I let it go the first time because people run out of change sometimes. Would it have been okay had I short paid them? It may be a little thing, but I want my change.
I was so pleased with this place. The staff was super friendly and even had me try something new. And the food was delicious, flavorful, fresh! You can tell this place has regulars because people knew the waiters name. It’s definitely some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had
