My husband and I had never been to this restaurant so thought we would try it. Walking in I was impressed with the decor. We were seated within 5 min. They have two dining areas and a bar. I like all the large windows to view outside which is pretty with their landscaping. I ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp that came with a bowl of rice, it was very good. My husband ordered the Chicken Chow Mein, he enjoyed his meal. We will be back.
My first impression of Rui's Shanghai Bistro as I walked in, gave me that vibe of one of those modern infusion type eateries like you see in a movie where your served your meal made out of foam 😁 very spacious and extremely clean. The bathrooms are very clean also. Something that's rare these days. Service was very quick and the food is fresh and hot. The staff are very friendly but focused on serving the customer. The food was "bomb", very fresh, flavorful, just overall great. If you enjoy Chinese cuisine trust me, try Rui's Shanghai Bistro. I've already been back twice, myself. Give them a try 👍👍
I was walking around the area and could smell the food from outside and I decided to try it with my partner the next day. I didn't think there could be great Chinese food in Redlands, but this place really changed my mind. The food was delicious and the service was great, honestly can't wait to try other items on the menu. If you're craving Chinese food that's not greasy, then come try this place out. You won't be disappointed.
Amazing food, but this place can get busy very fast. I am glad they moved to a much bigger place. Usually we do take out, so I have yet to dine in at there new location. I will be updating my post the next time I do dine in. Pictured is Shanghai Bistro noodles, Spicy Lamb with Bamboo shoots, shrimp tempura 🍤, white rice, sour apple saki, and Mongolian beef. Everything is very favorable, and the portions are shareable. We usually try different things every time.
Nice and clean. Really cool decorations inside (Halloween themed at the moment) Food was very tasty. Have vegetarian options too. Spent $24 per 4 people (see attached picture)
I will forever recommend this restaurant as my favorite for Chinese! The food is always so fresh and filling without sitting heavy on your stomach. Their dumplings are *chef's kiss* delicious, whether pan fried or steamed. I've never been disappointed with any of their menu items and there's something for everyone with two full pages even dedicated to vegetarian options! I always get their homestyle fried tofu, it's so flavorful even my meat-loving mother was salivating at the sight of it. The new venue for the restaurant is also really nice, with lots of space and located in downtown Redlands, so it's perfect for a date night or family outing. But don't take my word for it! Go check it out!
The orange beef is wonderful and the chicken curry is amazing. Also had the fried rice awesome had the Thai iced tea blended amazing awesome service will definitely be coming back again. Thank you.
Excellent! It’s a really beautiful newly renovated space, with very quick service that was incredibly friendly. Fair prices, and really tasty, authentic Chinese cuisine, as well as all the standard Chinese American dishes. I tried a spicy lamb stirfry with greens, and it was unique and inventive and very tasty. I will definitely be back.
