Breakfast Menu "Route 5 Grill & Seafood" Lake View

So I'm always skeptical of getting blackened Cajun fish dinners from anywhere besides the South or a beloved spot on Remsen St in Brooklyn Heights (R.I.P. Cajun Cabin), however, I trusted Judy (owner's mother) on this occasion and it was pleasantly pleasurable to my pallet. The presentation of the dish was fitting enough for an upscale restaurant at Bryant Park NYC, but for a restaurant next to the Train tracks in Lakeview (Buffalo NY)...input slow clap! The fish was served on a hot stone that not only kept it warm for the duration of our meal but also ensured a mild sizzle sound reminded me to keep my fork efficiently occupied. Our Apps were Coconut Shrimp (one of the best I've ever had) and Stuffed hot peppers with generous cheese in and around them, Wow! A must to visit on a Friday evening. If you get Sam as a server and you're as complicated as I am with my substitutions then you'll be in good hands! P.s. Great food and great service. Best crab legs I have had all summer. Love the new location!!

The food was delicious. We had pan seared scallops. They tasted very fresh and were cooked to perfection. The fries were fresh cut. The soup and salad were yummy. Next time we go we will get the clams casino and the french onion soup. The people at the table next to us got them and they looked out of this world. We want to try the fish fry some time too. The atmosphere is very casual. The prices are good. The people who work there are exceptionally nice. We need more places like this...not fancy, but 5 star restaurant food at a clean restaurant.

Food is always excellent. Young girl that was our waitress tonight was amazing considering she was basically taking care of all the tables! Wish the bar maid would have come out to help her serve drinks as she only had five people at the bar at most. Don't get it. Again I waitress was very sweet and efficient even thou she was on her own.

Excellent! Four of us went to Rte 5 Grill last weekend for the first time. Blackened fish and the seafood lasagna were the best! Service was great and timely, hostess and everyone friendly, good parking. Food presentation was great with the fish on hot stone slabs. Definitely will go back soon.

Hostess was great, our service otherwise was awful. Waitress wasn’t around at all, and not just for us but everyone. She forgot our drinks multiple times till we asked for them, had to ask for the app and the bill and the hostess was the one we asked. Once food was out we didn’t see the waitress again. Food ok. Crab legs good, fish fry plain/ bland and pizza had no taste nor was it cooked like requested. Was not offered more drinks after initial was gone. Some people left before they ordered and noticed food being sent back. Different take on the. Stuffed peppers than we usually have but we’re good.

We stop in here quite regularly because the food is always fresh and delicious! The menu is extensive so we try new things all of time and have always been very pleased. Large portions and great combinations along with the friendliest service in town! Either Barb or Nicole will wait on your every need! Keep up the good work and we will keep coming back!

WOW. This was their second night open in new location on Lakeview (across from JPs Pub) and food was amazing. We ordered a variety of items such as Ultimate Feast, Stripe Steak dinner, Surf n Turf Dinner, Clam Chowder, Burger dinner and BBQ Chicken finger dinner. Everything was cooked perfectly. So nice to have something other than pizza. I highly recommend giving them a try you won't be disappointed. Don't forget the night club opens tomorrow, they also have 2 banquet rooms which will be great for hosting private parties. Nicole and Bill the owners and the staff were all wonderful. Thank you for the great meal at fair pricing.
