Hola Amor that's what I wanted to say to my delicious and real real authentic Mexican cuisine. This place hit a homemade moment memory. When you taste the love š in the first bite and do a slam dunk on the empty plate which caught the attention of staff passing he equally was impressed with the napkin dunk on my plate so Bueno. I was blessed to meet the owner and his daughter. I requested a picture with the shy Chef whom proudly made the food so glad he obliged. I love discovering Good food and especially local and even better family owned. So now you go get you some love on a plate.
Rio Rico Mexican Grill moved into the old Serranoās Mexican Restaurant space at the NE corner of Guadalupe and Val Vista in Gilbert. Walking in the door, I liked how they freshened up the dining room. It seemed a little brighter and it felt clean and tidy. It wasnāt very busy as we were seated at our table at noon on a Saturday. By the time we left, at about 1:30, there were more seated guests than when we arrived but there was still ample seating. Our server was a friendly young lady. She brought us our chips, salsa and ice teas right away. My friend ordered the combination fajitas and I ordered a ground beef hard shelled taco and chicken enchilada with green sauce combination plate, which was not listed on the menu but our server happily accommodated my request. The food came out quickly and everything was hot. The fajita portion was huge! Iād like to say I was amazed by the food but I really wasnāt. It was good, and Iād be happy to eat there if I lived in the immediate area, but itās not a place I would drive too far out of my way to visit again.
Thought we would give this try a place since we were close on this side of town and appear to have decent reviews. Though the service itself was decent, the food was quite bland and lacked seasoning. In addition, the margaritas were acidic and not worth the premium price particularly for the Cadillac version. Thankfully, there are many other Mexican restaurants to eat at.
Service was great and it wasn't too busy. Chips and salsa were delicious. Food was good, but nothing to rave about.
Went right at prime time and only had to wait a couple minutes. The food was very tasty. The service was awesome.
The food was warm, not hot like it was the first time we went. Seated us next to a table where they were wrapping place settings. One person was eating at the check-in counter. Even though there was no customers at the counter at that time.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere! We love Mexican food and this lovely, locally-owned restaurant always hits the spot! Our kids and their kids have been here with us and they agree šÆ! GREAT place to celebrate whatever occasion and extremely accommodating! Plus 2 party rooms on either dining or bar side, seating up to 25. Can also open up to patios, either side and weather permittingā
Great little family restaurant. The food was very good. The only issue we had is we were the only patrons on ythe restaurant... And the family day a few tables over and carried on the entire time
