The decor was nice, the waitress was friendly, the food came promptly and was delicious. I cannot recommend the bastilla highly enough; it tastes like baklava made out of chicken. I also quite enjoyed the meatballs. Friends complimented the chicken, and the mint tea was as good as one would expect from a Moroccan place. Considering how good the food is, the prices are reasonable, in the $10-20 range per person for dinner depending on how lavish one is being. They apparently have a lunch buffet as well; never having been for lunchtime I can't review that aspect of the restaurant, but I wholeheartedly endorse dinner.
Restaurant was nearly empty when we came in. The bench seating is super nice; pillows are a great atmosphere touch. Food took less than 15 minutes to arrive, unlike some other reviews which indicated long waits. Prices for everything on the menu are reasonable. I ordered the Gyro. It was OK, but not amazing. My girlfriend got the Vegetable Tagine, which I tasted a bit of. Seemed like a healthy option, but nearly flavorless. The mint tea was lovely, if a bit sweet. If you order the meatballs, there will be an egg on top. The bread was OK. Honestly, I can totally understand the unpopularity of the restaurant; good if your only concern is trying something different for a change, but there are certainly better options.
We were very excited to try a new place and new food. The ambiance is really nice on Friday night. We waited 1 hour! For our food though. Fortunately we were with friends do the wait was not torture. The food is really good. A little bit overpriced, but kind of worth it.
