We ate at Relish for our 5 year anniversary for the first time, and we will definitely return. The restaurant is truly such a unique experience, with the history and homey feel of the building. The food is so gourmet and delicious, with the assurance that the chef uses only local ingredients in the dishes. The owner even came around after the food came out to talk with the guests and get to know them. Between the atmosphere of the historical building, the delicious and gourmet food, and the care of the staff, this place is a must-visit restaurant for anyone coming to Grinnell!
Jen and I had our first date here summer of 2018, and we have a tradition now of returning for Christmas Eve dinner, and other times as times allow. We love the area around the city center park in Grinnell. At Relish we have enjoyed numerous appetizers during our visits, and many entrees, but often gravitate to the steaks. Deserts are always top notch too. They have a great wine selection, and many mixed drinks and beers. The staff here is really nice, and we are always excited to return.

This was some of the fanciest food I have ever eaten, but the atmosphere didn't match nor the service. It was all good, just an odd combo. Ultimately I felt like I was paying New York prices with Iowa service and atmosphere. You may love that. I am more of a bar food guy.
Once again, a delicious range of entrées for our party of 5. They have a very original lineup of dishes, great presentations and friendly wait staff.
This is hands-down THE best restaurant in Grinnell! We eat here whenever we're in town. The food is fresh, local, and the chef-owner puts unique flavors on the menu every week. If you find yourself in Grinnell, eat here. You will be surprised and satisfied.
