Everything about Pizzetta was AMAZING. We had the vegan pizza and it did not disappoint us. The crust was thin and crispy, the sauce was perfectly balanced, and the fresh garlic was star of the show! The atmosphere was calm and seriously cool vibes. Our waiter Stephen was friendly, informative, and checked in with us throughout our meal ensuring we had the best experience. We drove 3 1/2 hours for pizza and we will certainly do it again, worth every moment.
Vegan approved!! Pizzetta is a gourmet pizza restaurant located in the heart of Mystic, CT. They offer numerous Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten-Free options. It is a family-friendly and dog-friendly eatery. I ordered a 12" Vegan Pizza, which consisted of mushrooms, fresh basil, tomato-based sauce, and Follow Your Heart cheeze. Fabulous pizza! The crust was thin, but it wasn't labeled as thin crust. Fresh and hot, wonderful flavor (some pizzas can taste flat or the sauce is not very good). Pizetta had a fairly decent drink menu too. I had a glass of the Johnathon Edwards Stone Table White, semi dry and delicious! Great outdoor area, large patio, we went on Sunday and there was live music. Nell, our server, was very attentive and checked on us frequently. If you're in the area, check this place out!
Pizzetta is a family favorite of ours and we stop here every time we're in Mystic. We chose to eat inside instead of the patio we love as there was a threat of rain. The bartender, Kelly, handled the crowd very well and we didn't have to wait long at all for our food. We had the gluten free loaded baked potato pizza, which was delicious as always. Cocktails were decent and the atmosphere was buzzing, but not too loud so that we couldn't talk during lunch.
OMG! I love this place! I can't explain how happy it made me that they have separate menus for omnivores, vegetarians, and vegans. As a vegan, I truly appreciate it when a restaurant makes this small extra effort since it's so much easier on me than to comb through a combined menu and then having to ask the wait staff about potential substitutions, etc.. On top of all that, the pizza was great! We shared the artichoke and sun dried tomato pizza and it was delicious. My friends' little girl also loved the chicken fingers. We sat outside, which was nice, but that also means I can't comment on what the atmosphere inside is like. I can definitely say that the next time I'm in Mystic (which is fairly often), I'll be stopping here for pizza again!
The bruschetta was delicious. The Philly cheese steak was decent but the meat lacked flavor and why four stars for food. The waitress Phoebe was slow and inattentive as we waited for our check a long time. In lower level and quaint setting.
Pizzetta is one of my favorite restaurants in Mystic. I recommend it to everyone for so many reasons, one being how inclusive the menu is. I don’t do meat or dairy and the pizza options are fantastic. I even brought a friend with celiac who was able to call ahead and ask about options for him. They were so kind and he loved his safely GF food.
Food is really good. Nice beer list. Great outdoor seating. Very friendly staff. Took our last minute group of 11 very quickly and was able to get us all together.
