I met a friend for lunch at the Pickle Barrel after reading many positive reviews. The girl at the counter was very pleasant and helpful. There were 4 employees working the sandwich line and all remained busy. There wasn't anything on the menu that I wouldn't try but I selected the tuna salad on white bread. Living up to its name it was served with several pickles. My sandwich with tax and tip, no drink came to $16. Initially, we were the only diners eating in, but they were very busy with takeout orders, by the time we left the small dining area was pretty full. If you are interested in an authentic deli experience with large sandwiches, I recommend a visit to Pickle Barrel Deli

I was so happy to be in Deerfield at lunchtime. I never get to go to Pickle Barrel anymore as I live in Jupiter these days. And boy did it not disappoint....the Deli Dinger was the perfect sandwich. There are plenty of tables for sitting, service was super fast and extremely friendly. Will def go again anytime I. In the area, and so will the 3 other people in my party!

The employees are nice, but the value and the quality was a BIG FAILURE. I got the tuna salad, a part of iceberg lettuce. The tomatoes were soft and then the tuna. I thought I was eating baby food. The only way to know it was tuna was by the smell, plain Jane. $15.00 Then the sandwich Cornbeef had now flavor, the only flavor was the thousand island dressing. The bread was kinda rye untoasted and thin. The bread on the bottom was soggy before it came to the counter. Then there is the pickles can you say GROSS. Maybe you should let them soak more in the brine. All this for $40.00

I've only been once for lunch but as traditional delis go I've been around and this place seems top notch. They have my favorites, pastrami (hot or cold) corned or roast beef, Reubens with fresh kraut. Fresh bread. Service was also pretty quick for a busy lunch hour. Pricey but worth it, portions are sizable, share and make a coworkers day!

It's a nice deli/sandwich shop that feels like more of something you'd see up north. Restaurant is tiny but has a very comfortable vibe with all wood furniture and an open counter where you can watch them prepare sandwiches. I would say it's pricey but it technically isn't since they pack the sandwiches with 3-4 times the amount of meat you'd typically get at a sandwich shop. This isn't clear from the menu so I was a bit confused while ordering. They use simple ingredients but the food is fresh and you can order your sandwich however you want. I went here at lunch time and most customers were 55+

This place is an institution..... Known for their pastrami and corned beef, the sandwiches don't disappoint. We came on a weekday during lunch hour, and while there was a line, the service was quick and efficient. The best didn't disappoint.... And the pickles were shady very tasty, very fresh and when you bite into it, they break cleanly... And not overly salty like most pickles. Prices are a bit on the high side, but it's worth it.

Always so good, but the prices went up dramatically. Ruben sandwich for $18.00, and yes, sandwich nor sub. But they really do pack on the meat. It was oh so good.

Fast, friendly, and delicious. I couldn't decide what I wanted so I got the hot combo half pastrami half corn beef it was a bit pricey but the corned beef side of sandwich was worth it. I would give 5 stars but for a restaurant called pickle barrel the pickles served was kind of disappointing.
