User Reviews

Excellent service here, we were able to sample the popular interestingly cheesed pizza. It grew on me somewhat but may not get it again. You will have to try it to see for yourself. I will definitely try a regular type of pizza next time. Parking is out back in a somewhat dark muddy puddle filled lot. We enjoyed the blackened Cajun chicken wrap and chicken dinner with Mac and cheese. After the strong mixed drinks of course! Will definitely return! We have returned for breakfast, was good. Biscuits were kind of crunchy and the gravy was thick, chunky and savory. French toast ok, maybe a little too soft or mushy in the middle. It would also be nice if there was a real maple syrup option instead of the imitation high fructose corn syrup packets.

My husband just moved in and went in to Phillippis on a whim. I am so glad we did. Anthony was our server and he was the best. He was so friendly and was so nice with all of our silly questions. He made great suggestions and even brought out a taste of the pizza they are known for. Every single thing was SO good! The regulars we friendly and gave us some things to do in our new hometown. I just know we will become regulars here!

Always consistent and good! My favorite place for wings, big and meaty, crispy on outside moist on the inside. The General Tso's sauce is the best! Wings are crazy priced everywhere right now so might as well come here and get some good ones!

My entire family loves this place! We always loved the “Birdville Pie” After years of going there we now love everything they have! Italian hoagies are the best!! Have never had a bad meal here!! Service is great! Our favorite place to eat!

The worst chicken and fries that I have ever had and I'm definitely waiting for the owner to come on here and say this is a fake review because I have pictures. The wings were fried extra hard and they were half breaded most of the breading was off. The fries were cold and smushy and our food was delivered to our table in a greasy bag and the fries were in a styrofoam box not to mention the waitress did not smile and did not look pleasant the whole time she only looked pleasant when she dealt with other tables. Super terrible service for a bill that was 50 bucks for fries wings and two drinks also the table was extremely dirty. Get on here and tell me this is not true I have pictures this is absolutely terrible.

Ordered fish dinner. Asked for extra tartar and extra lemons. Recieved one thing of tartar and no lemons. Maybe the person on the phone was nervous but they said they dont charge or give lemons out with food. Said they could take my name and number and have a manager get back to me. Food was delicious though. Hope tou get better service would recommend otherwise.

Edit 9/25/23 Note my review below (March, 2023). I just want to update as I need to make a few points. This is specific to the Birdville Pie. There is absolutely, positively no doubt that Phillippi's own the original Mooney & Lefty Martz (formerly P&M) Pizza. When P&M closed in the early 2000's and was bought by a new family (~2007) the new (and current) owners were never granted the recipe by the Martz family. It's a lazy attempt at a knock-off using the wrong cheeses (they are white and burn easily); a bad sauce recipe and a bad crust recipe. It's bad. Phillippi's is good! (when it's made right). Because I'm a loyalists and have eaten the original Mooney and Lefty pizza, and realize that there are a lot of clueless people, it's imperative to get the above points across. My only dig with Phillippi's is that they do lack quality control. It depends on who is making it in the kitchen. I've gotten the pizza on recent Friday's and would say it was made really poorly (thick cheese, and dry, no detectable sauce). Then I'd get it on a Sunday and it was vintage Mooney & Lefty quality. I still love it and it's worth rolling the dice but training the staff to make it right would do wonders (although I doubt this will occur because this has been happening for years now). -------------------------------------- As written in March, 2023 The Birdville Pie is wounded. Still plagued by quality issues. I'm in my late 60's and estimate I've eaten over 1000 original Mooney & Lefty pizzas (Birdville Pies) in my lifetime. This is the original recipe but it is still screwed up 75% of the time. The original pizza when made properly has detectable SAUCE - Not much, but it's THERE! 75% of the time I've had it in the last several years no sauce is detectable. It's all cheese. A thick layers of CHEESE! This is not how it's supposed to be made! I've ordered more than enough times with guests who've never had it in order to get a taste of this unique recipe only to be embarrassed because it's not made right. When your lifetime favorite pizza lets you down, it's disappointing. I've wrote numerous reviews, and have communicated to ownership. They don't seem to care. They get the help they can, and just live with it. ADD THE SAUCE!!!!!!!! THE ORIGINAL MOONEY & LEFTY RECIPE HAS SAUCE! IT HAD SAUCE IN THE '50's, ''60's, '70's, ''80's, '90's, 2000's, 2010's!!!!! Anthony & Frank know how to make it. ADD THE F@$KING SAUCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A local family owned staple of Natrona Heights. The staff and service is outstanding. The owners kids work there and its a fun family atmosphere. Home of the one and only birdville pie! Love their siracha fries and wings too! Make sure to grab a tshirt for 10 dollars or a hoodie for 25 dollars!
