Amazing service, the food tastes like homemade food. Reminded me of my mother's cooking 😊

We were a party of nine and came during dinner time. They were busy and we had someone in our party with low blood sugar. They were very attentive in getting her order taken right away and food delivered to her before even taking the rest of our orders. That was very appreciated! I didn't hear any negative comments from anyone and my omelet was very good.

We love taking the fam to Perkins. This location, in Ankeny in particular, is one of our favorites!

I thought I had traveled back in time. I observed a man scrubbing the woodwork in the restaurant instead of looking at his phone. My waitress was pleasant, and brought me water with my coffee with me asking for it. The manager joked around and made my visit, what seemed like a trip back in time. Kudos to all. Oh ya, food is always good.

Came with a group of friends and food was delicious. Domingo was our server and he was very friendly and made us feel welcomed.

Shout put to Ankeny's Perkins for an awesome experience. I read online that on Tuesdays kids eat free. I called to clarify and they told me that this was correct, then they even called me back to clarify that there is a max of 2 kids per adult meal, which I thought was incredibly considerate. Our waitress Madison was very friendly and great with my kids. She was accommodating when I asked if we could add the side of bacon to my sons grilled cheese (for the extra side surcharge listed on the menu). The food was prompt and delicious. It is good to know Perkins can be just as enjoyable at 40 with my kids as it was at 25 with a hangover. Great experience!

Perkins is a perfect old person restaurant (in my opinion) that’s why I’m here. However, not a “for old people” only restaurant. I like there wide variety of items, not to mention the bakery selection is the greatest! The problem I have today is I eat too big at lunch , I might only have coffee, but my wife will eat and we invited my son and his wife, they will make up for what I don’t eat! Great service from a wonderful server. Clean store and restrooms, which is a must to get any stars from me.

It is a very very clean space. The room and lighting give a very very cozy and comfortable vibe and it is never to loud. I love the fact the baked goods are also very fresh. 100% would recomend.
