I'm in town staying at a hotel nearby and was looking for something unique and local for carryout. I made the right choice. I ordered the arroz chaufa with chicken, which is like a Peruvian fried rice, and a cheese empanada. The portion was much bigger than I expected for the price, with a lot of juicy chicken and a ton of flavor. I don't know what the creamy green cilantro (?) sauce is that they included, but I would drink it from a bucket. I couldn't even get a picture of the empanada because I ate it too fast, but it was soft and crispy and not greasy at all. The place is really small and appears to do most of their business through carry-out and delivery so only has a few counter seats. I wouldn't go for dine-in with more than two people. But everyone was really friendly and efficient and I was in and out very quickly. I highly recommend.
Good service! Though the arroz con mariscos was tasty, there was not enough seafood in it. I find it's best to call ahead & order. There's also limited parking available.
Ordered a salad, empanadas, sweet plantains, and the pork chops and rice and beans. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the portions were very generous. Didn't realize that they close at 8pm and we ordered at 7:40, but they still honored our order. Will absolutely be ordering again.
This is a weekly order for the family. Great Peruvian food coupled with tasty BBQ. You can't go wrong. Food is ready in 20 minutes so order and pick it up yourself. I order and hop in the car. They have it ready and waiting by the time I get there. I truly can't say enough about Pepe's. Thank you for providing West Orange with some tasty food.

I tried their beef lomo saltado lunch and it was just ok. For a Peruvian restaurant their beef was very bland where you would expect way more flavor. I’m not sure what rice they use but I don’t like it at all, it just did not taste like your typical white rice. The amount of the food was just ok as well, I finished all of it and I’m a petite girl that never finishes all her food. I’m new to the area and would like to have some good food when I’m not in the mood to cook. I might try something else from them but I’m definitely not in a rush to.
I’m always hesitant to order from places that offer bbq chicken and etc because most of the time the food is either bland, not cooked thoroughly or the order is messed up. My son gave this place a shot and wow! it didn’t disappoint! The chicken is delicious, the ribs are delicious (I’m not a rib but my son is and I tasted his) the vegetables were cook perfectly, not too soft or soggy and they included sauce with the food which alot of places charge you for and forget to add it to the order. The rice is flavorful and the portions are perfect. I will definitely be ordering from again.
