Our server was friendly, patient, and gracious. I ordered the jambalaya, and my two dining companions ordered the shrimp Alfredo and the Southern fried chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens. Meals were served with a bread basket of jalapeño cornbread, French bread, and whipped butter placed on the table. We all agreed that the jalapeño cornbread was unexpectedly delicious. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed the appearance, portion size, and taste of our food. Although our server made a point of warning that the jambalaya was spicy, I thought it was perfect. The coffee served was bold and brewed just the way I like it. I would have preferred a small carafe of fresh half & half to add to my coffee instead of the tiny, shelf stable, and over packaged offering. I look forward to returning.

What a hidden gem!!! Pearls New Orleans Kitchen is a fantastic place tucked away in Elk Rapids MI. From the moment we arrived for our reservation the staff was great 😊. We had wonderful time and our dining experience was 5 stars 🌟 from start to finish. We started with appetizers; Fried Green Tomatoes and Deep fried Shrimp 🍤. Absolutely delicious 👏. I had the Crawfish Etouffee with a side of deep fried okra, it took me back to New Orleans in a heartbeat. It was amazing!!!!! My wife had the fried chicken and she loved it. After all that we indulged in the Beignets, so good 😊. The portions are huge so bring a good appetite, we took so much home, but that’s ok. Prices are good 👍 and have a Bloody Mary there awesome 😎 one last thing, the bread basket, delicious 🤤

Bailey was a FABULOUS server. The food was pricey but well worth it. My only negative was the wait. The New Orleans smell made you hungry immediately after entering. The atmosphere was suitable for all ways dressed.

Will definitely be back to try the rest- tried the Fried alligator (omg the dipping sauce), fried green tomatoes, creamed spinach, crawfish cakes, shrimp jambalaya (if you don't like it very hot you can get half/half flavored rice) and beignets . ****Make reservations ahead of time- it was packed on a Tues night*** very good service, great atmosphere and unique menu!

Wow thought I made a wrong turn on the expressway. This joint is straight out of New Orleans. From the entry to the decor. Food is top notch and service was excellent. Well worth the effort to get here. You will not be disappointed

Great place for great food!! crayfish cakes were very good! I had the catfish po boy, excellent from the inside out! Love the bun it was on and I'm not a bread person...my friend had a shrimp po boy, big ol shrimp ...I'll definitely be back for more!! Cool decorations to look at as well

Fantastic food and service was great (other reviews must be based on a different server) we started with the fried green tomatoes and corn chowder based on reviews and they were both very good. I order the Cajun shrimp alfredo and it was delicious, the brisket was just okay (as other reviewers have noted) it is served with gravy/smothered style vs traditional bbq, so just be aware of that, otherwise it was very tender. The Cajun shrimp sautéed were also very good. We wanted to try a crawfish boil but it wasn’t available, maybe it’s just on special days. Finished with the Bananas Foster - which was heavenly!

2nd year in Elk Rapids and enjoyed Pearls both times. Lots of food/portions and service great! They also have the atmosphere down pat! Make a reservation though! They fill up and waits can be long. Well worth the trip!
