Quaint, friendly and old school come to mind. On any given day you will find 2-3 old timers hanging out next to a table of antiques for sale. A weathervane, an old photo of LIC, a collection of old silver spoons. Inside you will find a clean, quiet, polite family that handles their customers calmly and professionally. They take off their gloves to touch money and put them on to make food. For a simple bodega style breakfast sandwich, you can't get much better. The bacon is not some rubbery, fatty, greasy thing. It is well cooked and meaty. I don't get fresh juices but everyone seems to be ordering green drinks or carrot concoctions or ginger teas. The only negative is that they are cash only. That bothers me for a number of reasons. Today, a lady came in for a juice and was pretty bent out of shape that it was cash only. Her bill was $6.50, she had $2. They told her to pay the rest next time she came in. It is that kind of place.
It was great, it was my favorite, but it seems closed now :(((
