Very disappointed with Panera today. Panera used to be known for great customer service, great food quality and more than average servings. Today, was not like that. My husband and I chose the Pick 2. We both chose French Onion soup because it’s always been amazing in the past. We each chose a 1/2 sandwich. The piece of bread was so thick and the inside was definitely lacking ingredients. You had to take a bite of the sandwich to even notice if there was anything in it. My pepperoni melt literally had five or six pieces of pepperoni, and not much cheese at all. Needless to say, I will be taking it home and adding some more things to it and putting it back in the oven. The suit was lacking cheese for sure. It also tasted like water. I don’t know what Panera bread is doing as far as their quality of food and customer service but if things do not change soon, they will end up bankrupt like every other franchise restaurant.

The perfect place to go on a hot Alabama day! The restaurant was very cool, clean and you never feel rushed to leave. Post COVID restrictions, many of the items I am used to getting throughout the day seem to be sold out but I understand they have less staff and probably less customers too. If I come before noon, the bakery items I want are available but getting an Orange Cranberry muffin at 4:30pm may be a thing of the past. I still would recommend, just don't expect many bakery items in the late afternoon to evening hours.

Order was late from the “Ready by” time. Pizza was cold, order was incomplete. Ticket said everything was checked, yet no condiments were provided. Requested no avocados, yet it appeared that avocado was on the salad then removed. Good thing We we’re not allergic. Quality of food was also… lacking.

Rapid pickup is not rapid. Took twice as long as the estimate online. The place was not remotely busy. There was a half eaten bagel on the prep bar. The smoothies were not blended. The staff (manager included) was clearly not in a hurry or at all friendly. Slow, unclean practices, poor customer service, and poorly made food.

When we walked in, the atmosphere was cold and impersonal. There was no customer service, no acknowledgement when you walked in. You have order and pay yourself on a kiosk and get your own cups. No one was at the front incase you wanted to pay with cash or needed help. The bathrooms were dirty and needed attention and the tables needed cleaned. The food was decent but overall it wasn't the best either. As a place that has had good food and good customer service in the past, it has declined greatly from what it once was. As for me, I don't think I will be back until at least you can get more customer service.

I placed an order this morning for 18 bagels. I was headed to Gulf Shores for the weekend. I picked up my bagels on my way out of town. When I arrived in Gulf Shores I realized I had been shorted 5 bagels. I asked my mom to call Panera to let them know I was as shorted 5 bagels. When she called the manager just said you can pick up 5 bagels tomorrow. My mom explained that would not help me and asked to be compensated by getting a refund on the 5 bagels. The manager hung up on my mom. My mom tried to call back several times and no one would answer. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Food was good but the tables were dirty and an older lady that works there gave me a dirty look for no reason, and what's with this " add a tip" at the register when paying?? when its ready and you have to get your own food. Tip who? It makes me feel as if I have to tip or my food with be spit on. Not coming back.

They have fantastic salads at Panera Bread, but I would like for my order to be correct just once when I get a takeout at the Madison Panera Bread. Just ordered the Asian Sesame salad yesterday, and of course the dressing supplied was for the Citrus Asian Crunch salad, which ruined the salad. Come on Panera you can do better. What a waste of $20 when considering driving there, etc.
