I must say the hostess here is probably the best we've seen in almost our entire lives of going to restaurants. Not only did she seat us but waited til we sat down and actually handed the menus to us and not set them on the table. Our server was alright as it did take a little bit for our food to arrive. Didn't give us an update on our food. My wife ordered the grilled chicken which the spice was too much. Had to request a spice-free replacement which the manager was kind enough to do. I had the Outback burger which was meh. Loved the Mac n cheese bites! 1 star each for the hostess, overall service and atmosphere.
We come occasionally, food is always pretty decent. Ordered the fried Mac bites and they were not so tasty. The burger was pretty good and they put homemade pickles on it which are really tasty.
Going to Outback Steakhouse is always spectacular treat mate!!! The food is delicious and the service is always great. They usually have good specials or seasonal combos. I recently found out that the Outback Steakhouse in South Elgin has recently been closed. I have been to other locations with the same great service!😊
The Crystal Lake location has a great staff and managers. Always great service. Food is good. Great gluten free menu (just need to ask for one).
I had the prime rib and baked sweet potato. LOVED IT!! The server, on the other hand, was not polite at all!! She was crabby and didn't even smile once or come back to refill our drinks. We went there to celebrate a birthday, she told us she could bring a little cupcake, I think or a little piece of cake (not sure she wasn't really clear about all that) and that they don't sing happy birthday anymore. Which was fine, however, when the time came she brought us the check and no cake. We were fed up with the service and just paid and left. I know people have off days and maybe she had something going on. So hopefully this was not her normal service and she had a bad day! Not an excuse though. But we will definitely go back because the food was GREAT!!!
We had a party of 8. When food came, they didn't know who had ordered what. Missing items and cold fries. Took forever to get them. Dessert came, and they forgot 2 peoples items. So to sum it up. The staff was great. The place was great and the food well was small and either missing or cold..
If you enjoy a porterhouse that looks like a hockey puck hamburger then you will LOVE the outback in crystal lake! Never was even asked by the waitress if everything was cooked correctly and the lady that brought the food out proceeded to tell me how hot the plate was while getting a half inch away from setting it down on my 4 years olds hand.
Went out to Crystal Lake Outback with my Mom and son & had a GREAT time! Ordered a filet medium well and it was cooked perfectly! Our server Bryant was very attentive to our table and very friendly, with a smile every time we saw him! The managers came by to make sure everything was perfect and had a strong floor presence. 5 out of 5 stars!
