Breakfast Menu "Ollie's Frozen Custard" Sycamore

Very cute place! I’m not from the area, and I was told that Ollie’s is a staple. I was not disappointed! I ordered a Red Hot Cookie Sundae (and added Oreos)…I thought a regular size would be more than I could handle, but I was proven wrong after trying the first delicious bite! The line was wrapped around the building when I arrived and as I was leaving, but the wait wasn’t long at all. It must’ve been well known that Ollie’s is a fantastic place for frozen custard. It was a perfect way to wrap up my day.

If you're local, you already know. If you're from out of town, you need to try Ollie's. They have a ton of different flavors they also do sundaes, shakes, and malts with their custard. Not that I'm a custard expert 😄, but Ollie's is fantastic. Lines are usually long in the summer, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, but they usually move fairly quickly. You can also get pints or quarts of their custard to go. Great local spot for creamy cold custard on a warm summer night.

We visited this place while staying at the sycamore rv resort. It was awesome. Great ice cream and Sunday choices and lots of places to sit. The kine was around the building but moved quickly! When we go camping again we will definitly come back!

Ollie's makes its own delicious custard. It is a drive for us to get there, but worth it. I enjoy the Boston shake. It is a milk shake with a sundae on top of it. My husband likes the chocolate custard sundae with peanut butter sauce. Chocolate and vanilla are available daily and a special flavor is also offered. You walk up and order outdoor no drive through. Picnic tables available to sit at. Worth the drive. We have been stopping there for 30+ years.

A LOCAL LEGEND! You can’t visit DeKalb/Sycamore in the summer time and skip Ollies. It’s a must. Flavors of the day are so fun so you can always try something different. In the last couple years, they’ve explained to accommodate dairy-free guests. On toasty summer nights, you can expect a line around the building but us locals know, it’s worth the wait, price, and the little treat at the bottom of a waffle cone. 😉 You’re getting quality custard. 🍨 Ollies now has a drive thru so they can have a longer season—but take note, when the walk up window is open, the drive thru is closed. I’ve been going here for years and Ollies never disappoints. 🍨

When we moved here 31 years ago, we were told to celebrate our new home we purchased by stopping off at Ollie's! They make the BEST frozen custard then and still do now!! Great flavors and so many ways to enjoy it!

The ice cream is good, but the prices are ridiculous. Even my 10 yr old said for the price and wait time, he'd expect Gordon Ramsey himself to be making the ice cream 😩 paid 35$ for 4 reg sundaes , the most I've ever spent on ice cream, and was very disappointed with how small the serving size was for the price of 7$-8$ , extremely ridiculous prices that you can't even see until you get to their main window. Wouldn't recommend unless getting a simple scoop cone seems that probably would have been more reasonable

Delicious. Got the cookie dough, which was delicious. I got the Irish cream cake and peanut butter chocolate nut pints to go and they kindly packed it in ice for the trip back home.
