FANTASTIC. We drove three hours to eat here and we were VERY impressed. Its a small, gritty place that I can not recommend more. The fried food is the highlight of their menu. I always order fried shrimp. The deep frying technique they use is incredible. They do not cut corners or use prefried ingredients. This place is the real deal. The live music is excellent too! They have talented artists come through often! They have beer club (or something like that) too. This place makes me want to move to Lake county. It is in the now beautiful downtown area. 100% you must eat here if you are driving through. Get the fried shrimp ;)
Great bar with a big selection of imported and local beers. The food can be hit or miss depending on what you order, but overall it is good, especially considering it was bar food. The pub sandwich was amazing. A great place to hang out, talk and drink.
Good beer selection, live music, easy going place. The food isn't exceptional, but for pub eats, it's decent. A pleasant feature, no age minimums , you can bring your kids for dinner and a beer!
Best service Ive had here! Johnnie is not only bartending a full bar at 7:30 but is cruisin laps from table to table. Its my first time here getting so much attention during such a busy Monday night slam. Got irish nachos and a bbq bacon burger to split with my kiddo and it hit the spot! Whatever they have changed up is working for this place!! Will be back!! You kick butt Johnnie!😄
Made the mistake of going back..as our first time at that establishment wasnt anything short of how NOT to run a resturant. As our drinks came remind you its only 3 of us they only brought 2 as we had to ask multiple times for the 3rd. When our food did get to the table 3cheese burgers only 1 had cheese. And they all looked they were not cooked at all. $50 later...I will never return and i hope more resturants do open here in Lakecounty to give people more of an option as I know they are still in business due to the fact no other places are open on a Sunday
The Irish Whiskey was oh-so-good and So was the flavorful Cheeseburger. Life music and great service (Thanks Thea) added to the great experience in that wonderful soulful place
Don't get me wrong the food is great and we love the "hot rocks" and Irish nachos but wow do their waitresses need to pay attention. I live in town and everytime I call to order they always mess my order up, forget part of my order all together or tell me when I am there to pick up that they didn't have an item I ordered.... until they hire good waitresses they only get a three from me.
I have spent more days in this Establishment, than any other in the County of Lake. So I've seen it all at. Don't take My Word for it though... Go Look and See, hang out there -for yourself !!! The food has only gotten Better. The Bar Tenders- that I'VE delt with, have been great. Good to me and with a SMILE! which you can tell in a LOT of the Service Industry, has *DIED*. Sadly. Well it's NOT Dead Here at this place ! Now ATTENTION *OLD WORLD TAVERN WORKERS -Bar Tenders & Cooks- DON'T MAKE ME LOOK LIKE A LIAR!! ! HAHAHAA!!!
