Easy to miss but a cozy neighborhood hangout for sure. Not much on the decor side and not a romantic place to take your date. Place could use a coat of paint or a remodle. Ordered the sashimi deluxe. Nice thick slices and very tender. The diet friendly cucumber roll which was tasty. Of course a couple of beers to assist. I say check it out.
While the atmosphere is a little rough around the edges the food was delicious. We were also one of the lucky ones to get a free sushi roll. Definitely better than their 3.4 stars rating
Ordering online for pickup: they don’t read the instructions for no utensils. Added code for free edamame and they gave us something else. Sauce is added to rolls that don’t have it in their menu ingredients, ie Ocean Fish Roll, which didn’t list mayo but was swimming in it! Tasted terrible! My two cents: Get away from mayo and cream cheese on everything.
Terrible Japanese food, maybe is ok for roll, but don’t try sashimis, Chirashi…. Fishes isn’t fresh The kitchen is dirty as hell. It’s not Japanese at all, more Chinese than Japanese. Service is terrible, the waitress is the worst!!! I was asking if I can replace a miso soup for other item, before I finish asking she said NO YOU CAN’T! _Excuse me, let me finish what I’m asking, please. I had to throw away my food.
Ordered take out based on the rating and it was completely inaccurate. Overpriced sushi that tasted like nothing, not fresh and was drowned in mayo or who knows what it was on top. Not what I'm used to in California. Going to a small local place I thought I couldn't go wrong but the supermarket sushi is better. I literally threw 80 dollars in the trash. Don't waste your money.
Solid local spot. Have been many times, always a mix of nigri and rolls.
Ordered chicken teriyaki and my chicken was under cooked, lady didn’t put in my husbands order
Excellent sushi rolls - I had the Hollywood and Linda Mar! Also, the service is really friendly and helpful. We had an allergy order in our party and they were VERY careful and considerate with that. Will definitely return if I’m in the area again!
