Great Italian spot. The staff and owner were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and fresh. BYOB is also a bonus. You will get a big portion of hearty delicious food. You can tell they care about the food and the people they serve. I highly recommend it.
Very good experience here! Staff was extremely friendly and our waiter definitely made the experience. My friend and I got calamari as an appetizer and it was so good we devoured it! I don't remember what my friend ordered (since we went last week) but I got the Chicken Parm and they were very generous with the amount of food that you probably will have leftovers. Food was great and their sauce is really good as well! 5/5 rating for this place. Worth a stop if you're in the mood for Italian food and visiting. They also have pizza there as well!
Just finished an incredible dinner here. Our waiter Craig was outstanding on every level. He asked how we wanted the food paced and did not rush us at all. He left time in between our courses so we had time to digest a little bit and truly enjoy each dish that was in front of us. All of the things we ordered were delicious. Meatballs, rice balls, mussels, drunken chicken pizza, chicken parm over linguine and homemade cannolis. I cannot wait to come back!
Pizzas are getting smaller and smaller. Edited to add-Rich, we did speak and I know you put a credit for the pizza on my account which I appreciate but the review still stands. The consistency of your pizza just isn’t there, each time I order I never know what I’m going to get. I reached out to you personally two other times about two separate issues. But this third time I think deserved a review. I know you’ll use the opportunity to train your staff better. And if Google reviews really mean something to a business, I’ll adjust accordingly after we order again. I do appreciate you crediting my account, I just don’t want it to be so I’dchange my review.
We had a wonderful party at Novino. They were able to accommodate nearly 60 guests for my son and daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner. From the very beginning, they were responsive, flexible and went above and beyond to make sure the night went off without a hitch. My DIL worked with Craig on the table arrangements in advance and even customized the menu (apps server family style, salad and choice of four entrees) that took into account many of the guest’s dietary restrictions and preferences. The calamari and pizza were delicious. I had the snapper which was great. We had many choices and a fun Nutella desert. We all enjoyed ourselves! Highly recommend Novino for any private parties!!!!! We are a group from Diamond Bus Tours that originated from Oak Ridge/Knoxville, Tennessee area…although since 2004 I myself lived in Tennessee, I am forever a Jersey girl…. Lived in Jersey from birth 1960-2004 …..But I also love Tennessee too…..I spent the first 44 years of my life in The Garden State…and I wanted to give my Tennessean friends a true experience in an authentic Jersey Italian Restaurant and I got nothing but fantastic feedback from all of my Tennessee friends. Novino you are the best…. You staff is fantastic and of course the food was the absolute best. Service was great, thank you Craig. Bathroom was clean. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious. We ordered a variety of food to try: eggplant meatballs were rich and seasoned well with a deliciously crisp outside. The Cabernet was smooth and tasty. The pizza’s crust was thin and crisp and the cheese was good- not too greasy. The Lasagna both meat and eggplant had just the right amount of seasoning. Overall, an excellent experience. Highly recommend.
Great food at a great price. The owner is incredibly friendly and personable. A definite recommendation if you love Italian food of any kind
