This place was fabulous. We went in the afternoon. Service was fast and staff were very polite. Food was awesome with really nice sized portions. Will certainly be back again.
The food was amazing! Paige was our server and she did a fantastic job. She was very attentive and kind. Very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and even recommended 2 cocktails to me and my wife which were also amazing! Will definitely be back! Paige if you see this, thank you! You did a great job making our first experience a great one!
If my momma were here with me she would be slapped. Some of the best food I have had . We were tasting each others food and EVERYTHING was delicious. Gary was amazing!
I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere is really nice they have an upstairs patio where you can look out onto the street. I had charbroiledl oysters which were really good but we never got our check! It took them an hour to bring out our order... It was very clear that they did not have adequate staffing and I felt really bad... But even when we walked downstairs to the desk to get our check and to let them know my husband never got his beer, so he had nothing to drink except water, The girl brought over the manager told him we needed our check and to take the beer off the order he walked away and said okay and then came back 5 minutes later we were still standing there and said "oh I thought someone took care of you" and we said, "oh we thought that was you". Again clearly very short staffed, And to be fair it was a parade day but several people there said "oh I forgot today was the parade". If you're a restaurant in Slidell on St Patrick's Day, you should probably remember there's a parade.... And be as prepared as possible for it.

We had an amazing experience at NOLA Southern Grill. We are so glad we stumbled onto this gem! Our server Paige was so awesome! She was the perfect amount helpful and attentive, and then allowed us to enjoy our meals. She kept the drinks coming, and the food came out perfect! We tried the Boudin Egg Rolls, cooked to perfection. Paige suggested the Oysters, and they stole the show! My daughter had the wrap, my wife the Shrimp Po Boy, and I had red beans and rice. We also shared a Bread Pudding. That was a feast fit for a king! When the manager Gary heard that we were from way out of town and that it was my daughter’s first time to Louisiana, he personally brought us out some Crawfish to try. Amazing! The food was great, the service was outstanding. The atmosphere was good. And the restaurant was clean and well kept. I am not often in the state, but I will be back for sure the next time I am in town! The staff was so awesome, they treated us like long-lost family! Thank you NOLA for the amazing visit!!
Hubby and I stopped in for some delicious chargrilled oysters, fried to perfection pickles and mouthwatering margaritas. Food was excellent and service is always great. Been here several times, this is our go to spot for chargrilled oysters in Slidell and not to mention their fried pickles always hits the spot. Also met Gary very nice gentleman who checked on us while dinning at NoLa Southern Grill. Can’t wait to go back.
Cajun Chicken Pasta and Boudin Eggrolls were Fantastic..Also, tried the gator bites and the fried pickles were just okay. Our server was good, but seemed very stand-offish. Overall still worth 4 stars.
