We were a party of 7. All enjoyed the atmosphere and the belly dancer. The menu offers a nice selection of tasty dishes, but they seem to be somewhat pricey. A cup of tea is served in a traditional class cup that contains no more than 6 oz of tea for $2.50. No refills. We were 2 small baskets of traditional bread with our appetizers. Apparently only 2 are complimentary and additional ones are $3.00 each. When we received our bill, we were told that the restaurant served 2 complementary baskets per table and our party of 7 was counted as one table. The owner was responsive to our complaints and we were comped for the additional bread baskets. Niroj is one of our local restaurants. We will revisit them perhaps for special occasions.

Belly dancers on Friday and Sat night!! Like many places in Agoura, this restaurant is nestled into a corner of a strip mall, but parking is ample, and the food is delicious! I ordered take out and waited at the small bar inside while it was prepared. The bar area would be perfect for a book club meeting on a weekday evening, or a special occasion for any day of the week. The place was clean and the staff friendly. Will definitely be back for more.

Wonderful food. I had the vegan Dizzy Clergy (some eggplant with delicious vegan stuffing including organic tomatoes, onions, herbs, etc..) and my friend had the lamb shish kebab. Both were excellent. I asked the chef if there was one dish he was particularly proud of and he told me it was the stuffed eggplant with lamb. The kurdish tea was excellent. The bill was very reasonable. We will be back soon!

This placed had great reviews and it's nearby. I don't like to venture very far for dinner when I'm starving. Anyway, service is pretty bad. We had to ask for drinks, had to ask for refills, I mean the server is not very proactive, just reactive. It took 45 minutes for our food to come out. That's a long time for a hungry girl and for a restaurant that it's only customers were me and hubby at that time. The bread is delicious and baba ghanoush. Had to end it on a positive note. You should go try it, but not for me.

For those of you who enjoy the Middle Eastern food, this is a hidden gem. It is relatively new, and I am not sure how long it will remain hidden, because it serves by far the best Levantine food that I tried in the area. You cannot go wrong here, the meat is done to perfection, bread comes out hot straight out of the oven, and appetizers and side dishes are seasoned to perfection. With a glass or two of wine with your lunch or dinner, you will walk out of Niroj ready to take a nap. I would not recommend this place to people who are trying to lose weight – you will be tempted to finish your meal to the last bite. The atmosphere is nice and quiet, and the staff is very un-intrusive, courteous and efficient. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.

This is a lovely, wholesome, cozy restaurant with foods that feels homey. Lots of spices and flavours and stewy saucy goodness. And this is definitely a place where you want to load up on bread! It's homemade, light, with the perfect amount of chew, and lots of nooks and crannies to soak up the sauce on whatever dish you ordered, because you do not want to let even a morsel go to waste!

We tried couple of different dishes and all of them tasted perfect, almost on par with Turkey. Only problem is plate sizes are very small considering the prices. $9 for a medium size lahmacun is too much regardless of how good it is.

I tried Kurdish food here for the first time, I hear it's the only place in California that serves it. I really enjoyed the menu and that everything is made fresh even the naan they have a lunch buffet T-F for 10.95 and the menu changes daily. It was the perfect way to introduce a new cuisine to my belly with a buffet so I could try it all. It's a small buffet but it comes with a salad, naan and and appetizer served to you.
