been here a few times now and it’s amazing. service is top notch, everyone is super friendly and attentive. the raw food is great quality and their boats are delicious! we got the shrimp boat and the soft shell crab was delicious. dessert (key lime pie $8.99) was definitely overpriced but it was delicious anyways.
Fantastic seats in a casual clam shack ambience. Restaurant is right next to their seafood market. Raw oysters were delicious. Calamari was hot and cooked in fresh oil. For the main courses - the loaded scallops were great, but the Chilean sea bass was absolutely amazing! Kids loved their penne ala vodka and fish and chips. Would love to come back again!
New Wave Seafood gets FIVE stars! What a great restaurant! We had the baked clams oreganata, which were some of the best baked clams we've had in a bit. The mussels were huge and the white wine garlic broth was perfect. We also shared the crab cake sandwich and that was top shelf as well. The staff were super nice and the service was on point. Definitely recommend and we will be back!
Artichoke sole was very flavorful and done perfectly, stuffed salmon was very nicely stuffed not skimpy at all and again done perfect. Delicious Sangria!! Very nice staff too. A+
New Wave Seafood in Wantagh was a great find. Been wanting fresh seafood for quite a while, not easy to find. This place was spot on. Very friendly gentleman behind the enormous counter welcomed us we walked in. Seated immediately despite the big crowd. The baked clams and oysters got us off to a great start. Followed by three very different entrees, excellent. Try to get there if you can, won't be disappointed.
Purchased fresh fish for Lenten meal. everything was delicious. The tartar sauce I purchased was excellent, as was the cod loin. Next try is the restaurant. Tried restaurant, fish was DELICIOUS, fresh and prepared perfectly, clam chowder ready and chock full with clams. The portions are enormous, and we took home half our meal. We will be back.
It’s an ok place. The bread on the lobster roll was definitely overwhelming the lobster itself and was a bit dry so I cannot recommend getting it but the fries were really good
Great service and great food. We had a family outing for lunch and it was terrific, including some photos of what we had, fried pickles and clam strips, cod tacos and MD fish cakes.
