It's a little small place ..but they take good care of you.. the food was delicious I have the breaded pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes and green beans /cream of chicken rice soup.. my husband had the fried Chicken.. we had a great dinner and we will be back. Good fair price.. great waitress and host.😊

Tried a new spot for breakfast, which makes me anxious bcuz if the pancakes are not good it messes up my meal. THIS PLACE HAS DELICIOUS PANCAKES! I'm so happy. They're soft and pre buttered, the syrup don't just slide off. I don't like powdered sugar on my pancakes, so make sure u tell them. They're so good I ate them before I realized I needed a pic! I got the Gypsy skillet, bacon fresh sliced mushrooms, onions green peppers and bacon. I got cheddar cheese and over medium eggs. Listen, it was cooked perfectly! Crispy bacon, well diced veggies, eggs with the double yolk which were cooked perfectly medium. Potatoes shredded and was the perfect base. Nice waitress, quick service! Don't let the empty lot or pizzeria sign fool you, COME HAVE BREAKFAST.

So glad to have this gem in Oak Forest. I love the daily specials! I had the Stuffed Cabbage today, delicious and very comforting after a stressful day. It really helped that our waitress Cindy took such good care of us.

Nice local greasy spoon. Food was predictable and food. Good portions of food and had a great local diner flair. For me the slot machines were a bit of an atmosphere killer but has a nice home town charm in an otherwise busy area.

This restaurant is the best! Friendly staff, great food and awesome atmosphere. We went with a party of 9 and they were able to accommodate us with no problem. The banana French toast was delicious!

Our waitress was wonderful. They bake their own sourdough bread which is delicious. Very good food, amazing pancakes. Could do without the tv playing, the acoustics aren't the best.

It's a long time family restaurant. And we love it. She had pork with sauerkraut, and enjoyed it greatly. I had beef stroganoff, a generous helping, and took about half of it home. Really, really good. We will be back.

For a terrific bang for your buck you've got to try New Horizon Restaurant. Portions here are generous. 🍽 πŸ’£ πŸ’₯πŸ’² πŸ‘ Pancakes are saucer-sized. πŸ₯ž Texas toast slices were as big as...Texas! Two eggs here looked like four eggs elsewhere. 🍳🍳 = 🍳🍳🍳🍳 πŸ™‚ The flank steak was tender, juicy, and did not dissappoint. πŸ₯© πŸ˜‹ πŸ‘ The only thing that isn't big is the pricing, which makes New Horizon one of the best values around. Service here also excels. My pancakes came already buttered - no other place I know does that. πŸ‘ Just south of 147th and Central, New Horizon is easy to find and hard to forget. Serving comfort food and more in a comforting atmosphere for decades, New Horizon is a must try. πŸ‘πŸ‘ Review and pictures reflect Feb/Mar 2019 visits.
