Breakfast Menu "Mule Bar" Winooski

My favorite bar in Chittenden County. Lovely atmosphere with pleasant staff, delicious food, great music and 2 single occupant bathrooms that are well kept. The cocktail menu is extensive and the beer selection even more so. Great place to grab Hill Farmstead as they often have it on tap. If I lived closer I would go to this bar several times a week! We came in to get one drink at 10 pm & that is 1 hour till close & we got so much attitude about ordering a drink. Rushing us like we came in 10 minutes till close. We are both bartenders in the area as well and would NEVER treat people like that. - to add the same bartender was cleaning the bar to get out early and sprayed her cleaner in our drinks. Extremely disappointing because we normally love this place but the service has never been great.

Great bartender and great little spot to catch a round and talk with friends and family. Seems like the cocktail menu is seasonal in which case my bourbon based drink included ginger beer and classic fall/winter flavors. My partners gin based drink was fruity and delightful. Check this place out when in Winooski VT!

Great place to eat or takeout from. Food is really good! It’s your classic bar style food and drink. It does get busy so be aware specially during peak season. I would try to plan your visits or do take out. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Burger, Poutine, and Loaded Tots. Keep in mind, it’s a place that does get loud, with limited indoor and outdoor seating. So if you have a family, expect to sit outside if you want to be able to have a conversation.

Our first choice when we came to Essex. Kelsey is the best bar tender. We tried 4 new drinks and they were delicious. Definitely will be coming back.

The food here is excellent and the staff are really nice! I was visiting from out of town back in May, and had ordered online. One of the items I ordered, a rice krispy treat, was missing. It was a very minor inconvenience, but I figured I'd just contact the restaurant and get a refund, so I just told them which item was missing. Initially, I was told to just swing by the restaurant and pick the item up, but at this point I had already left and went back to my home in another state, which I let them know. It took a while for them to respond and I wasn't even thinking about it anymore because of how small the item was, but they replied back and said they would give me a gift card for the next time I visited. So I said okay and just waited, thinking they would email me a promotional code or something. A few months passed by and I hadn't received anything yet, but I had let it go, because again, the item was small and just a snack. Mule emailed me back and asked for my address. I was a little surprised due to the amount of time that had passed by, but I sent my address and figured they would send me a physical gift card. Instead, they mailed me 2 rice krispy treats to make up for the 1 they forgot, which I thought was really nice and thoughtful. It wasn't a big issue, but from my experience, I can see the staff at Mule really care about their customers and are willing to go above and beyond, even in small situations like this one.

Great local vibe. Very good draft beer selection, especially local northern Vermont. Our burgers were delicious. Fries were great, but not hot. Still five stars overall but c’mon pay attention to the fries. Next time we’re there, the fries better be hot!

Really good food. Service is always friendly. Had a happy hour here with my company and they were able to accommodate 20+ people.
