April 25, 2023, 8pm I'm a local. The specials list had cheese curds for an appetizer, and they were DELICIOUS! I want to try more of their special entrees in the future! We were told before ordering, with an apology, that they were out of (regular) pizza crust, so we could only get cauliflower based gluten-free crust (which they only have in small) if we wanted pizza. So we thought about it, got adventurous, and did. Very thin crust. Crunchy at the edges. It was fine, really. Certainly better than NO pizza! The two pizzas we got were completely eaten! I wholly recommend the Greek salad and the spinach salad, as well. It's a great place to take families, and they have local beers, too. The bar looked full of local college students, and the dining room was very casual, and CLEAN. Our server, Latazia, deserves a shout-out for friendliness and great service. Always a good experience.

This place is a local classic. I go with my mom every time I visit because it never changes, the service is top notch, and I cannot get this food where I live now. My go-to is the clam and bacon pizza in a white garlic sauce. I could eat the entire thing, but it's so good the next day if you can hold out that long. I love that their specials always change, they never seem to be in a culinary rut. But the staples are always on the menu. Highly recommend.

I wasn't going to leave a review because I generally don't care enough to leave one 90% of the time. However, I thought our fries tasted like a dirty sock, my girlfriend said they tasted like paint. Not sure what would cause this but decided to throw them away to be safe. Whatever was in these fries tastes like it could cause some serious health issues. Only good thing about this place was the portion sizes, kind of pointless when you have to throw the food away.

We love Mr G's. It's local, they've been making great pizza, grinders, salads, and specialty dishes for 50 years. They make it the way you want and it's always delicious. This night, our server had an off night. We didn't get one item we ordered, at all, but it was still on the bill. Taken off without an issue but where did it go? Just forgotten. She returned to the table twice before bringing us plates and napkins. Yeah we'll just look at the pizza and think about it. Just basic stuff that didn't go well. Food was awesome, we'll keep coming back, but man work on training or something.

Great experience every time I've been there: friendly service, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Bar side is kinda popular and completely separated from the dining area allowing families to bring their kids without worrying about roudy behavior spilling over and disrupting their outing. I drove past this place for about 20 YEARS before finally giving it a try and I wish I had done so sooner. Their time in business speaks for itself honestly. Give it a try.

Family owned bar and grill. Great atmosphere and good beers on tap. I had fish and chips. Very good. Friend had rueben sandwich. Very good as well. I recommend this little gem.

A nice little place in New London food was great. I love hamburgers and the one I ate was mouth watering. My family really enjoyed the dining. The services was excellent with our server being very friendly making frequent stops should we need anything else. My son in law first visited this diner and recommended we eat there. We are all in a agreement its a great place to eat out. Definitely be making a return trip to Mr. G's Restaurant.

Just ordered two fish & chip @16.95 each. Side salads were BOTH supposed to have dressings obviously . Received NO dressings whatsoever!!!! Disappointing. There was NO ketchup nor was there ANY tartar sauce. Over $34 for the order and there was two tiny pieces of fish in each container and a small handful of fries. The slaw was ok. But, overall......sad.
