SO SO happy we stumbled upon this place after seeing the ‘Deep fried artichokes’ sign on the freeway. The artichokes were amazing! A lovely substitute for fish for vegetarians that are hanging out with seafood lovers. The host was lovely, served us hot water instead of regular iced water no problem - the decor and flowers made for the perfect ambience. Continued on with our roadtrip feeling so satisfied!!
This is exactly the small roadside Café. You would expect any Harbor and fishing community. Located just a couple blocks from the harbor area is small restaurant that is favorite with the locals. There’s not a lot of seating so sometimes there’s a little wait. The staff is very friendly and tentative constantly refilling your coffee and catering to all your needs. The crab and artichoke and cheese omelette was pretty good however, it was overcooked. It would be nice if they offered country fried potatoes in addition to the shredded, hashbrowns. The deep-fried artichokes are to die for with their crispy outside and soft artichoke center. I wouldn’t pass it up if you’re in the area and you’ll be the judge.
OMG this place is Califonia's best kept secret! The deep fried artichokes are real and to die for. Always went by when they are shut, so glad I finally got to try them. If only these guys did dinner! The rest of the menu also sounds amazing.
Lovely lunch spot! Good food, great service. Very friendly waitstaff.
I rated the service 5 stars because the host and lady who took our order were so very friendly. We all felt welcomed and it definitely enhanced our experience. We ordered the fish and chips - one kid size and the other regular, both a great helping of fish, the regular comes with a third piece and cole slaw. My friend and I split the special Louie Salad and they plated it separate for us (and we didn't even ask for this, so lovely). Also had to try the fried artichokes 😍 yummmm first time experience was Ah-mazing. Thank you so much for a wonderful food family experience ❤️
Adorable little cafe. We showed up for lunch after our dive and their Cajun fish tacos were amazing. But those fries are what I'll be daydreaming about for forever! So crispy even after they'd been sitting on our plates for a while. I ended up eating all of mine and half of my friend's fries before I gained some discipline...
Hole in the wall cafe off the side of the road. This little cafe is seemingly a local favorite and often frequented by residents of the area. They serve breakfast until 11:30am (except on Tuesdays) and breakfast all day on weekends. Came in hoping to get breakfast but we just missed the cut off. Overall, it was cafe food that you’d expect to find on the side of the road. Not amazing, not terrible, just very blah. I won’t seek this place out but it did the job of feeding us. Whatever you order you’ll need to add salt and pepper to it; but I appreciate the wide variety of options available to you.
Staying Moss Landing for weekend. There are not many choices around for breakfast. Actually it was the only choice breakfast nearby my hotel or driving all the way down to Monterey. The breakfast was good, but not amazing. Coffee was ok. Friendly service. Nice local cafe.
