Breakfast Menu "Monte Pizza & Convenience Store" Guyton

Date of service: 04/15/22 I’ve seen this place numerous times in passing but never gave it much thought. It looked like a gas station and I sorta kinda brushed it off. BIG MISTAKE!!! I went inside and was greeted by the owner and namesake of the restaurant, Monte. Super nice guy! He took my order and promptly served up three freshly-made burgers for the kiddos and 20 teriyaki wings in no time. The kids DEVOURED the burgers and the wings were absolutely delicious! Packed with flavor and at a reasonable price. I’d certainly recommend this hidden gem to anyone in the area!

This place is a diamond in the middle of nowhere. I usually get the Baked Ziti with sausage. Then, I add bacon to it. It also comes with garlic bread. It is delicious, and affordable especially since I usually get two meals out of it. The place is not a chain restaurant. Instead, it is owned by a family. The owner is named Monte, and he is a very friendly, down to Earth person, that will speak with you in a calm tone while serving up delicious food. The food is cooked per order, and made fresh on site. This place is highly recommended.

Monte has been here a very long time (previously located closer to Port Wentworth), and he is a local favorite. The food is good, the service is great, and the owner is top notch. The aesthetic is misleading, however, so there's that.

What you need, food, uhaul, insurance! Monte has all. Burgers and steak sandwiches are the best!!

Amazing pizza and always great service. As a kid in the late 90's I used to ride my bike there numerous times weekly. Mr. Monte was always a pleasure. Each visit I would get a pepperoni personal pan, peanut butter M&Ms and a cherry gold choice drink. One of my great childhood memories feeling like an adult going to the store by myself. We moved away in 2004 but I stopped back in a few years ago while visiting in town. I walked in and explained who I was and Mr. Monte still remembered me! I got the same thing I used to get as a kid. Mr. Monte, if you're reading this, you run a great business with amazing pizza and thank you for always being such a great person to look up to as a kid. I wanted this place to be good. I heard someone at a party recommend it. I like the idea of buying local, supporting my neighbors, doing business with people who own the business and put their name on their work, but this was just a bad experience from start to finish. When I called, I had to ask if I had called the right place because the guy just said hello. No "thanks for calling" or anything like that. I ordered the family deal which was about $5 more than what was listed online. It came with wings that were small, dry, smelled like they were spoiled, not seasoned before cooking, and the Buffalo wings were not sauced at all. The pizza was supposed to be hand tossed, but instead they gave me a tough thin crust. It was not crispy. No crunch. My kids were having some difficulty even chewing it up. The toppings were pretty sparse. I wouldn't even be interested in them trying to make it right. It was the worst pizza that I've had in the area. I will say this, the order was accurate and ready when I got there, but I won't be back. And I feel the need to post about it because so many people have given such good reviews. That wasn't my experience.

May not look like much from the outside bit you will find amazing pizza and the most amazing customer service you could ask for. He knows every customer by their voice on the phone. Such an amazing guy

Monte was super friendly and helpful when we went to him to rent a U-Haul for our move! He explained everything clearly, even gave us his personal number if we needed anything. Their pizza had good prices and I can’t wait to try one!
