Many other options were packed due to restaurant week and we ended up here having never heard of it. We were happy to stumble upon this place and were greeted with eager staff ready to seat us. The service was friendly and fast, and our food was delicious. We opted for a true 3 course experience with a bottle of wine and found the prices quite reasonable and the portions large. We will definitely come back and enjoyed the whole experience.

Second time there. First, not too impressed, but can’t remember why, has been quite a while. Thought we would try again. Best part of the dinner was the cheesy garlic bread. Ordered the “signature” veal parmesan with supposedly “fresh” veal. The veal was so difficult to cut you can imagine how it was to chew. Server was sorry , but could only take $3.50 off the salad price. Didn’t offer anything else. I now understand why there were hardly any customers. Would have considered trying again had the server been more inclined to make good on the inedible food.

Was hoping for a nice Friday night meal with the kids. Nope! Ordered the shrimp scampi and not only did it look totally different than the picture but it was not good at all! Extremely bland. No sauce. No flavor. It was just noodles with a little butter (I think?) and shrimp that had some flakes of parsley on it. Completely unappetizing. Kinda made my stomach turn. Salad also was plain with literally two black olives and two cherry tomatoes. (Gave me the wrong dressing too!) Only gave 2 stars because my kids ate all their pasta with meatball and that means more to me than myself eating. First time eating Monte Carlo and the last.

upon first arrival. the place is nice and clean. we got the meatball appetizer and it was pretty good. then after a while the main course arrived. i got the veal Parmigiano because they were out of the signature veal Parmigiano. my wife got the trio (similar to the tour of italy from olive garden). my angel hair pasta was smoking hot and fresh while my veal was over cooked and tough and just warm. the marinara sauce is not that good almost has a canned flavor to it. my wifes dish, the chicken parm was way over cooked and hard. the fettuccine Alfredo was bland and not flavorful, and the lasagna taste burnt and like someone tried to doctor it up. the restaurant was not busy and the service was slow. also i think this is the first Italian restaurant i have ever been to that did not have some sort of bread with the meal. dont think i would recommend to friends or family as a good place to visit.

Food was good portion size and out pretty fast. The staff seemed to know the menu very well and provided recommendations/answered questions for us. The amount of sauce on each of our dishes was too much for me. I even want a good portion of sauce on my pasta dishes, but this was too much for all of us. The sauce was good, but sometimes it can be too much.

We ordered from here for the first time this week. We had the meat lovers pizza, the jazz pizza, and the meatball appetizer. It wasn't terrible but not on our list to order again. There are so many pizza places around that we have other favorite choices. The jazz pizza just had a few canned pineapple tidbits on it but this pizza definitely could have been done better. Our order was ready to be picked up when we got there and the service was friendly enough.

Good Italian food at a reasonable cost. Good craft beer selection. Very convenient to downtown Powell. Will be back again.

Monte Carlo is my choice for birthday dinners. We love the chicken parmesan, meatball sub, baked pasta, cheese garlic bread, gnocchi, and ravioli. The meatballs are delicious and we like to add on a meatball to many dinners. We like to start with the wedding soup. Skip the cup size and go straight for the bowl of soup. The chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream was loved by everyone.
