What can I say? Our first time at Merv's. Burgers were awesome Fry's were some of the best I've ever had. Definitely coming back.

The hamburger & fries were delicious. Love the atmosphere and the workers there are awesome!!! Highly recommend!!!

We went here for a late lunch. Got two burgers. The waitress we had seemed like she just hates her job or something. The burgers was decent. You couldn’t buy any alcohol as they didn’t have there permit for whatever reason. The lady that we paid with seemed like she was dressed for home. I wouldn’t go back there.

We recently moved to Chattanooga and Merv's was recommended to us to try. We got our food to-go, and it was pretty solid. The egg rolls were great. Their burgers are huge and tasty. The chicken tenders were good as well.

Nice restaurant with pretty good food. Patty melt was good, chips were alright but had a nice homemade feeling to em. Merv burger was alright and the same could be said about the fries and chips. Is it Tennessee’s greatest burger like they claim? No. Is it worth a shot if you’re in the area? Yes.

We waited literally an hour and a half for a burger and fries. If your kitchen is that backed up, pay higher wages. Food tasted good, but absolutely not worth waiting that long. Fries brought to table 30 minutes before first burger, so they were cold when burgers came. Burgers also came out staggered over 15 minutes. First people were done eating before last food came. No information from staff about order status except "we're backed up". A measly $5 discount after all that. I've been a customer for more than 15 years. Update: After taking to management the next day, we were refunded. There seem to be a lot of bad circumstances that came together at the wrong time. We may go back and hope things are better.

The burgers are, and have been, one of the best in Chattanooga. The staff always has a smile on and are willing to help and accommodate their patrons. Friday night karaoke is a staple. Two great pool tables, darts, and a couple of arcade games make it a fun night out any day of the week.

Not quite the Dive that my dad wouldn't let mom and I eat at in the late 80s. Merv's is a place you can take your family. However, the important part (the food) has not changed in quality since I was little (the 80s). The burgers are some of the best in town and taste fresh, not like they have been soaking in a tub all day.
