Very disappointed they were out of gluten-free bread. However crab cake Benedict’s were amazing! Beautiful inside and nice outdoor dining options, however were eaten alive by bugs.

My mom and I came here at 4:00 after working hard at a dance competition and it was just what we needed!!!!!! We needed a little snack and we had the perfect amount of food. My mom got the red beans and rice and she said it was excellent and flavorful. I had the gumbo and I had never had it before and it was so delicious!!!!! The staff was excellent and so nice. We got here a little before 4 and someone who was out in front gave us a menu. If I find myself in Asheville and I need a place for food I will definitely consider coming here that day!!! Beignets are absolutely delicious!!!!

Big Nola energy, old school tunes and charming interior design to match the era. Centrally located in the heart of downtown Asheville with nice outdoor covered patio. Great beignets, fried chicken with biscuits and gravy was a delight. Friendly staff and quick service.

The beignets were a real treat, the were light, airy and not too sweet. The etouffe was savory and packed full of delicious and fresh seafood. The shrimp and grits were full of flavor. The grits were creamy, and the blue cheese was a surprisingly nice touch. Would definitely come again!

I saw this restaurant on TikTok and was so excited to try but ultimately was very disappointed. When I think of LA food I think of the big punches of flavor, and spices and the food was everything but that. There are not a lot of vegetarian options so please be aware that you are going to pay $5 for a tiny side of grits and red beans and rice. My drink was made incorrectly and even when sent back it was still made unlike the menu described. The smothered biscuit gravy was very thick and tasty like colored flour and for $13 it need to have the flavor as described in the menu. All in all if you are used to overpriced unflavored food you would love the spot.

Husband and I were on vacation in Asheville, NC, and we wanted some beignets, and Mayfel's didn't disappoint. From being greeted by the hostess, our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable with suggestions.

This was overall okay. Great location but lots of mosquitoes outside we had to move inside. Staff was nice. Food was very bland. Needed salt, pepper and hot sauce to have flavor. A little small portion for the price

Great food… great atmosphere! Meatloaf was unbelievable. Wife enjoyed shrimp po boy! Tasty beverages!
