Good Menu and Great Service. The wood grilled flat iron steak was not quite what I expected in taste and texture from a Max. The medium steak was cooked perfectly. The Brussels sprouts were very good and the Gorgonzola butter was a great topper. The two end sections were a bit dry and tough. The center portion was much better. The excellent Cesar salad was very crispy and the dressing was high quality. The house bread and EVOO was very good but I wished it was served warm. The ambiance is classic Max's high end flair. The bar server was very good.

My boyfriend and I came here for a date night and arrived for their happy hour before going to dinner. The happy hour prices were amazing with many $5 plates and drinks. The waiter was extremely friendly and quick to bring us food and drinks even though it was very busy. The calamari, meatballs, and clams were delicious. Dinner was wonderful, my boyfriend got the strip steak and I got lamb loin, both cooked perfectly. The waitress was again so friendly and pleasant to talk with. She checked on us multiple times and made sure our meat was cooked as we wanted. I highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or even friends going to dinner.

Good food, clean place but be watch for knives flying from table onto your legs! Specially if you bought your trouser recently. No sign of Gulies!

Consistently, the food is quality and service amazing. The pre fixe brunch menu is a fantastic value. You get a cocktail, yogurt parfait, bread, entree, dessert and coffee or tea for $20. I had the prosciutto benedict most recently and was thoroughly impressed.

Edit: Max, the owner, reached out to me and we had a lovely conversation and he was willing to hear praise as well as criticism. This is very professional of him and is very rare these days to see a personal concern for reviews. I'm changing my review from 3 to 5 stars and will edit it when I visit the restaurant again. And no, I did not receive any coupon or free dinner or anything of the sort. Since it's somewhat of a larger restaurant than others, I was able to come in before my scheduled reservation and was given a table. The service was good but the fries starter had little to no unique taste to be it's own item on the menu. The main pasta dish which we ordered had semi good portions for two in one dish. The main problem was there wasn't a lot of taste and the chicken was raw. People typically spend over an hour here because the food takes quite a while to get to you. The ambiance was good but I'm not happy with what I paid for food wise.

Very good Italian food, very friendly and attentive staff. They accommodated our last minute addition of more people without hesitation or any issues. Seating was comfortable. I had the NY Strip steak - juicy and very tasty. My wife had the seafood diavolo and loved it. Being Mother's Day it was crowded and a little noisy but all in all very enjoyable.

I've been there on several occasions for lunch as well as dinner and the service is always the same....fantastic! My last visit was with a rather large party for a birthday dinner, which included young children, and the staff was super friendly, patient and very accommodating. I ordered the mushroom risotto and as always they did not disappoint. Many of the patrons were first timers and all were very pleased with their meals, beverages, desserts & the service as a whole. A special thank you to our server Jessica for making our mom's, grandma's and great grandma's 78th birthday a success.

I have been here many times and had great experiences, but my most recent visit--the first in 2 years--was mediocre. Our mains and drinks were excellent as I remember, but they only offered one kind of table bread, and it was not warm. My Caesar salad had frozen pieces of lettuce. Service was slow. Disappointing. I hope next time is back to what I expect.
