Ordered the meatballs from the appetizer menu and was disappointed as there was hardly any sauce with it. We both got the lunch special for our meal which came with a personal size pizza, salad, and a drink. The pizza was good but not overly amazing. I did like the cute little booths they had to sit in and our waitress was very nice!
Absolutely the best place I’ve been to in Colorado. Such good food. Everything I ordered was scrumptious. Got the bruschetta as an appetizer and had a side soup & pasta as my entrée. Garlic bread was baked to perfection. Sam was the best waitress. Cannot wait to go back!!!
If you are ever in Gunnison looking for a place to eat, make Mario's one of your stops. Even though Mario's specializes in pizza, we went there because one of the menu pictures from a previous reviewer showed wings. Unfortunately, their menu has been updated, and they no longer offer wings, but that didn't dampen our spirits. However, I am adding pictures of their current menu. My daughter ordered the 1/2 lbs. "Juicy Lucy" burger, which has bacon and American cheese infused inside the Patties. She started eating it so fast that I was unable to take a picture. Sorry, but it shows how tasty it was. I should also mention that I have been avoiding breads the past 2 months to prevent my glucose from spiking and to avoid any possible gluten reactions. Thus, my desire to eat wings. But our waitress was very helpful in finding non-bread options to include salads and any sandwhich/burger served in a bowl instead of bread. I settled on their Artichoke Dip, and our waitress substituted more veggie sticks in place of the bread. It was amazing, and I ate it as a meal. The dip is their own recipe, and it had a nice zing to it. I did take of picture of it too! Happy eating! #gomountaineers
Awesome place to have a pizza or Stromboli! I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally love the veggie Stromboli I chose! I really wasn’t sure if I should get pasta, pizza or a few appetisers because everything described on the menu seemed incredible. I would definitely come back!
Mario's has great pizza but a diverse menu as well. The garlic cheese bread is one of my favorites. They have many pizza options including an individual pizza so everyone can get what they want. They also have sandwich options, salads and pasta dishes. Lunch specials are also available.
Stopped in on our way thru town. Amazing food and service!!! The atmosphere is cozy and the lunch specials are perfectly priced. We will definitely be back!!!
I’ve eaten here a few times during my trips to and through Gunnison. Everything I’ve eaten here has been great! The pizzas, the pastas, the calzones, it’s all good. The servers are always friendly and attentive. Whether you’re go to Gunnison or just passing through, I recommend you stop are Mario’s for a meal. You won’t be disappointed.
My hotel recommended Mario’s for dinner. My server, Autumn, was excellent. She had a lot of tables to take care of, but she was still very welcoming and helpful. The food was OK. The salad was about what I expected – ok. The pizza was a little below my expectations. It was OK, but the toppings were scanty, and it was mostly crust.
