I would avoid this place at all costs. I went here on Saturday 4/4/15 for lunch because I had heard good things about this new cafe. Boy was I wrong! The customer service was absolutely awful, possibly the worst I have ever got in a restaurant. The food was very overpriced for what I received. Worst of all, the management was inattentive and unprofessional. First, my girlfriend and I got separate orders but were (obviously) sitting at the same table. The girl at the register was new and was having trouble putting in our order. She ended up putting both my order and the one my girlfriend already paid for on my bill, yet I only found this out after I swiped my card. She told me "if you sit down, we will try and figure this out before you leave." This is not how you handle potentially overcharging a customer. You do not tell them to sit down when they ask about their bill and you do not tell them you will "try" to handle it. The manager/owner was interviewing a babysitter or something and was obviously too busy to speak with me. He didn't even offer an apology. He just said "we will void it and check your bank statement." I never even received a receipt for the meal in the first place mind you. Neither he or the server came over to our table to ask if everything was okay. He seemed just as confused as the girl behind the counter because I didn't hear from him to confirm if the charge was taken off. Finally, I ordered a grilled chicken with bleu cheese special. The chicken was a flavorless hockey puck, the lettuce was wilted romaine, and for $10 they threw in some craisins and candied pecans. For another $2 or so I ordered a medium seltzer but was actually given Sprite. At this point my girlfriend was almost done eating so I just picked at the salad and left. I am going to contact my bank and make sure the charge doesn't go through. Please do yourself a favor and do not give this place business when there are so many great places in the area. The manager obviously does not understand basic customer service.
The coffee is made great but the pastries I bought were stale and did not taste good. Stop and Shop has better. I thought it to be an italian pastry place but i was mistaken. Not worth going to unless You want a good cappuccino.
Food was discussing would not eat there owner takes the tips from the high school kids and shares them with himself sorry as a owner you should not be taking tips also serving 3day old rice an Mac an cheese steal muffins and re freeze food over an over dirty dishes and mold for pictures I can down load to you don't support
Great music on Friday and Saturday nights. All for the price of a coffee!
