We walked in and the first thing I noticed was the very Mediterranean vibe - the walls, the music. Love all that. So we decided to get the Shawarma and the Chicken Kebob sandwich. We also got a side of Baba Ganouj. For drinks, we weren't too sure what to get but they said they'd let us sample it, which I thought was great. I sampled the Mamoun's iced tea, which reminded me of Qahwah because it's got the cardamom flavor. We ended up getting the mint lemonade and the mango drink which were both pretty good. The chicken in the chicken kebob sandwich wasn't as tender as I expected. Also, the sandwich as a whole wasn't that good - I'd say it was dry and could maybe use some extra sauce in there to hold it together like garlic sauce or hummus maybe. The Baba Ganouj had sort of a burnt feel to it but it helped add flavor our sandwiches. The Shawarma was better than the chicken kebob sandwich, but no where near an authentic shawarma. Having grown up in Saudi eating the authentic kind, maybe I expect too much. The food was ok and I would have given a 3, but I was really happy with the service and want to give a +1 just for service.

It's a long time coming but finally we have a Mamoun's in Long Island. Very close to the high way and very cool vibe with clean tables. The owners know better to not to mess with the menu and how the food is loved. The service is fast and the ambiance is very easy and hip. The only thing missing is the crowded subways and hustle and bustle of the city. It's really the best felafal sandwich. Very good vegetarian options.

For vegetarians this is a must! Smack in the center of their display board of options is the veg choices (& everywhere else throughout!). Had the West Village pita sandwich and the combo of all the flavors was quite delish. My hopes: the falafel balls will improve with texture and firmness & the pita will be toasty warm. As far as taste nothing was too overbearing, meaning all the flavors came through nicely, and the pickles were an unexpected addition, adding a good salty crunch. Yes, there is a line during peak hours but it moves quickly. The parking is definitely an issue. So get ready to up your patience. And they need to put up a numeric display so patrons are alerted that food is ready; if you are seated it's difficult to hear them call your order #.

Food was delicious and worth the price we paid. We both got the combo later with both rice and salad. We were both surprised with all the food we got. Definitely will go there again. Only complaint was that the young fellow behind the register seemed to rush us to place our order. It was our first time there and we were unfamiliar with the menu. Besides, there was no one behind us.

We ended up ordering the chicken kebob and kafta kebob combo plate. The meat was seasoned very well, not too salty or spicy, and tender. But the rice was undercooked and somewhat crunchy...not a fan. The baba ganouj and falafel was very flavorful...every bite was delicious. Hummus was unmemorable...meh. But the pita- amazing! Also ordered the shawarma plate- rice was much better and cooked but the lamb was a bit too salty for my taste.

Had the Combo platter with Shawarma, delicious, loved their spicy hot sauce. My son had the Chicken Kebob sandwich which he enjoyed. Falafels were delish. Looking forward to trying the rest the menu !

It was my first time and the service we had from Travis was amazing, we had Beef Shawarma and Falafel, I was shocked that their taste reminded me with the original taste back in my country Jordan. Highly recommended and definitely will be back to try more of the menu

I eat here every Thursday. I order for my office. We usually get 5-10 sandwiches or combo plates. The food is clean, healthy and we haven’t had an issue yet. Great quality food and extremely delicious. Definitely a hot spot. The Bleeker and McDougal are amazing.
