Visiting Portland this last weekend coming from Seattle and made the usual stop at Luc Lac for a quick and tasty lunch. It's a perfect lunch on a summer day as the flavors are good, but you won't leave feeling so full when you are out exploring the city or about to sit in your car to drive 4+ hours home like us that day. We arrived close to 12pm on Sunday and had no wait with an option to sit either outside or inside. Last visit in 2022, we sat outside, so opted for inside this time. Order at the counter and then are assigned a table (E2) where you sit after getting your own utensils, water, etc. Service in this sense is almost non-existent and while the woman taking our order wasn't mean by any way, she didn't seem happy to be working. This only was noticeable as most other restaurants we visited in our trip, service seems very enthusiastic and friendly. I got the combo vermicelli bowl which has a skewer each of: chicken, pork, beef and shrimp + choice of vegetarian or pork little egg rolls (2). My travel partner had the tofu vermicelli bowl which they loved. Flavors are definitely on point and the food is excellent. Perfect mix of proteins and carbs and some fiber vegetables to have you feeling ready for the day but on your toes instead of heavy when being a tourist like us. Cool art deco on the walls as well. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place. Check it out!

Uniquely hip atmosphere, but most of all, one of the best pho I've had without exaggeration. There is usually a line, but it goes pretty fast. The most I've waited was maybe 15 min. Once you're seated the food comes out fresh and pretty quickly. I love all the deco inside and also great friendly service. Also, their Vietnamese coffee is the most delicious! This place also has some other nice drink selections. Highly recommend this place!

Luc Lac exceeded all my expectations. The restaurant is colored red with 3D art and floating umbrellas. When you walk in you order your food and drinks and then are seated. The drinks came out quickly with the food close behind. I ordered the pork vermicelli bowl. The pork was tender and the fish sauce was tangy with a hint of sweetness. I got a chance to try the peanut chicken curry and low key wished I would have ordered it as well. If you love green tea, the Asian Vacation cocktail is your drink. Overall Luc Lac is a must if you’re in the downtown Portland area. The vibe is just right and the food speaks for itself.

Service is clever, order first, get table assigned after, self-service water and cutlery, order more though QR code, great experience! The restaurant atmosphere for me was awesome, chill and visually pleasant. I enjoyed the food, tried the peanut curry, portion and flavor was on point! :)

Luc Lac was recommended by the hotel we stayed at. And so glad we tried Luc Lac. Nearby location great/fun space and the food!!! Epic 🥳🤩🤤😋. I tried the rice plate combo and the portions are very generous. I love the Miraval splits-perfect for Portland summer. Definitely coming back.

The atmosphere looks really nice and you order before being seated. We were given our food two minutes after sitting down. The food is really good too. Great serving. Will come again. It is 9/15/23 and visited again. Ordered Vermicelli combo bowl. It is so good. Lots of vegetables and meat in it. Love this place

We came here to eat dinner tonight and I will say it was the best choice because it hit the spot. This pho place had Sriracha so need need to worry about the Sriracha shortage. We had to park on the street so just be aware of that. When we got to the restrauant, there was already a line to the door. Their layout is weird because the entrance line and exit line intersect so it's just awkward. After we got to the host to put in our order, that's where the fun began. I got the shrimp spring roll and asked for no spouts along with the pho with steak & brisket. My friend just got the pho steak & brisket and my wife got their chicken pho. My wife also got the Thai tea Creamosa which she totally loved. Our food came out quick like within 5 minutes. The spring rolls with their sauce was delicious and my pho totally hit the spot after I added Sriracha. My wife and my friend also enjoyed their dish and we all agree it was the right choice. You pay for your dish first before eating so that's something different and they'll find a table for you. They had outdoor seating as well but we got the bar seating which was fine because we saw the bartender make drinks in front of us. I got the Mexican coke in a glass bottle for my drink. I would highly recommend coming here if you want good Vietnamese food. My score: Food: 5 star! The pho was amazing and I really loved the shrimp spring rolls. Service: 5 star, the staff were great and answered any questions we had. Atmosphere: 5 star, sitting at the bar was amazing and also the interior decoration was nice.

If you're looking for good Vietnamese food, then this place hits the spot. It is always crowded so be prepared to lineup and wait since the location is not very large. They also offer Patio seating that requires lining up. If you don't want to wait, you can use the side window to order takeaway. The man taking the orders doesn't seem too interested in you but it's ok, you're there for the food and even though it loses some quality when taken out, it's pretty good. I had the pho train, the noodles weren't very much but they give you lots of meat and veg. The vermicelli was delicious with all the pickled veggies but the meat was slightly sweet for my taste. Banh mi was delicious. We also ordered bo la lot but looks like that was missed but we already left and wasn't going to come back just to pick up one item. I would come back again and try to get a seat for the full experience.
