Been on my list to try for awhile and it was well worth it. The place can be pretty busy given the location, so I recommend making a reservation if you have a bigger party. We order the octopus appetizer and couple pasta dishes that were all absolutely fantastic. The dishes were unique, not overly complicated, and simply delicious. The pastas texture was both tender and chewy. You can tell that they were homemade or at least with a lot of love. Their cocktails were smooth and tasty. Love that they have a seasonal rotating cocktail menu. Highly recommend the place for a date night. Expect to pay $60-90 per person. Located right next to a paid parking structure. Couple blocks away from the pier.

Taking a walk by the beach is the perfect build up to gorging yourself on amazing pasta and pizza to complement the amazing cocktails they have. Love and Salt had the perfect balance of both ingredients in their namesake, and I was blown away by every dish there. The half chicken was phenomenal, but HOT TIP: get it with a side of bread if you're too scared to drink the broth at the bottom of the plate. Can't waste any of that LIQUID GOLD! A beautiful experience at a beautiful restaurant. Will be back soon, I swear!

After meeting with friends someone recommended this local place for dinner. We didn't hesitate and decided to show up without reservations, they got us a nice spot within 10 minutes. The food was delicious, the service was very good. The owner or general manager stopped by to make sure we were well taken care of. Overall great experience, can't wait to go back.

What can be said? EVERYTHING was exquisite! Service with a smile and just the most delicious items. Pizza, pasta Bologese, Scallops, Meatballs, Burreta with garlic bread, mushroom caneloni, baked, and then fried artichoke, Spaghetti limoneli. The coup de gras was the Tiramisu. My God even the pressed coffee was extraordinary. Just go, run don't walk.

We booked a table for my birthday after seeing that they had self made gluten free pasta. However, despite the fact that they put so much effort into making the pasta, they’re not able to boil some fresh water and throw it in there. We‘re not talking about cross contamination if they boil the pasta in the same water as the non gluten free option. Why even offer it at all at this point? The waiter wasn’t very understanding that we left and didn’t really accommodate!

Some of the best food we have had in LA! This place has an amazing passion for high quality food. We had an unforgettable anniversary. Love the atmosphere, the amazing staff and especially the fantastic food. We had Grilled Octopus Salad, Grilled Broccolini, Prosciutto Di Parma & Tamai Farms Peaches, pizza Margherita, Strozzapretti Costolette, Spaghetti Alla Chitarra Cacio E Pepe and Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch for dessert! Everything was so delicious and full of flavors. We will definitely be back for more 😋

Overall a pleasant atmosphere, great service, good cocktails, but unimpressive food. The shaved fennel salad (just shaved fennel with a light dressing for $18) and tomato/stone fruit panzanella were fine, but overpriced. The American Wagyu picanha steak, ordered medium rare, was incredibly tough...very very chewy. So chewy that we didn't finish it. The Japanese mushroom pizza was good. The cocktails were solid. Given the 4.5 star average Google review, I expected a lot more from Love and Salt.

Absolutely amazing! Spontaneous day in Manhattan Beach, we stopped here for dinner as an early birthday celebration for a friend. Incredible ambiance, excellence choice of music, our server, Antoinette was a joy, so sweet and gave thoughtful recommendations. We had the carrots and Arugula Salad as appetizers. The flavors were so delicious, it blended together nicely with every bite. And we had the Japanese Mushroom pizza which came recommended it was probably the best pizza I’ve had in LA so far being from New York. Then dessert was the dark chocolate almond cake, it came with whipped cream and this chocolate sauce to dip, very rich but not over baring and flavorful. Loved this place would highly recommend and come again 🤗.
