Best restaurant in town. (or I will be positively surprised) No doubt. My waiter was just great. He advised me the right food and I took it. The wine, the appetizer with different meats and then the maincourse the SA lobster was so good that it was unreal. Its a must visit if you are in Clearwater area. (A Formula 1 legend was having dinner there! tonight)! Maybe some more work on the atmosphere but anything else was great. The bill was hundred dollar including coffee and samba. I come from Europe and it you will not get it there at the same price.

So I was trying to treat my wife and friends (6 people total including me) to a nice dinner where we can enjoy some seafood at a quiet environment, the choice came down to Bob Heilman's Beachcomber & The Lobster Pot Bistro, for whatever reason we chose the Bistro and I wish we didnt. The place was clean, quiet (for the lack of customers), lady singing (which was a nice addition although it was at the bar side not the dining side which sucked), we had to wait a few minutes to be seated because no one was there, our waiter was very respectful and was prompt to assist. Now the food, my wife ordered the lobster special (stuffed lobster), she ate a bite and choked on some bits and pieces of the shell embedded in the stuffing.. I had the NY Steak, which was decent, we had the Grouper too, which was also OK. but for a bill of close to $200 I would have expected WAY more better food, better service and maybe some music in the place rather than dead silence...

Dead on a Friday night, that should have been a warning. Fillet stuffed jalapeno poppers were okay but if you going to call them stuffed then give me more than a bite size piece of steak and more that 2 poppers! I was suggested the lobster mac-n-cheese so i went for it. Wrong choice, should have got something else. The 'full' tail they made sound so good was over cooked and rubbery probably because of the cheese they had melted over top in the warmer. I had to use a knife to cut it. the mac-n-cheese only had a few pieces of claw meat and was not too flavorful. I understand I should have said something but at that point i was not in the mood complain since we were only one of 3 couple in the place, no reason what so ever that the kitchen should be screwing up. Another thing my fiance noticed, we sat near the kitchen and could see the coffee station. She noticed that the coffee was not even brewed fresh it was being made from the same crappy machine they use in their office. What kind of restaurant with bistro in the name uses a vending coffee machine? .....

We were less than happy about our experience this Valentine's day. they had a special V day menu that was very expensive compared to their normal menu. the service was OK. The bar which was a "full" bar was not able to make two common drinks and when we and them to sortie surprise use the came out with gin and canned OJ. The food was good but not for the price. For the $120 plus tip for two people I would have expected a far better experience.

Waited for 10 minutes before anyone even said a word to us. Ordered a drink and the waitress didn't believe it was me. I am, 26 and feel very disrespected, me and my wife walked out and Will never return. We recently had a baby and we do not get out often this caused turmoil and ruined our whole night. One of the worst restaurant experiences. Don't go here

Ive experienced the Lobster Pot before. We tried to do takeout one time and they answered the phone briefly before being disconnected. Then for 12min I tried to call back and nobody answered so we had to go elsewhere. It was 6:44pm but I can't imagine they don't have someone at the front answering phones at such an important hour. The food isn't that great and on Clearwater Beach there is a lot of competition so you don't get to avoid phone calls. Its easy to go someplace else.

My partner and I had a late lunch here in September. We both got food poisoning, and I went to the hospital for dehydration. I've tried to contact the general manager and the owner. No one will return my calls or emails. What a disgraceful way to run a business. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Waiter was fine but food was grotesquely expensive and not because it tasted great. I had a better experience the next night at a BBQ joint down the street.
