Our brunch at Le Rendez-Vous Cafe unfurled like a captivating tale last Wednesday morning. From the instant we stepped in and were welcomed by Lisette, a combination of wonderful aromas embraced us, reminding us why we chose to eat brunch here. Lisette, our gracious server, welcomed us with a radiant smile, and led us to our table. Our table was in the corner and offered a panoramic view of the restaurant. As it was just past 11am, the restaurant slowly started to fill with patrons. We arrived before the lunch rush so took our time reviewing the many options the menu offered. Just then, Russell emerged and welcomed us to the restaurant. His daily specials were the swordfish, and pork chops, but we were there for a more traditional brunch so we continued down the menu until we decided on a few plates. I surrendered to the the soup du jour, an amazing cream of broccoli. Its flavors danced with an orchestrated finesse, crowned by a regal mound of cheddar. It's safe to say that bowl of soup was devoured within a few moments. We also decided on both the zesty Denver omelette and the spinach and feta omelette, each perfectly cooked and filled farm-fresh ingredients. The wonderful flavors continued with the Monte Cristo, a breakfast masterpiece that danced between sweet and savory. Layers of swiss, ham, and turkey were melted between slices of French toast, each bite a harmonious duet of textures. The toast's golden crispy exterior and tender, moist interior, made the sandwich that much better. Our plates were graced by wonderfully crispy and piping hot breakfast potatoes. Lisette and Russell's meticulous service elevated our experience, crafting a seamlessly satisfying brunch. Departing from this restaurant, we were not merely patrons; we were part of a wonderful culinary experience. Our hearts anticipate our next opportunity to explore Le Rendez-Vou's many dinner and wine options. In a world craving authenticity, Le Rendez-Vous Cafe stands on its own, guiding curious eaters toward a world of flavors that welcomes you and leaves you craving for more. Come for the savory, stay for the sweet. Fall in love with the ambiance and service, it will be a meal well worth it.

It's not often I leave detailed reviews, but this place deserves one. Starting with the atmosphere and service. The outside looks like it's rundown and going to be a bad experience. We walk in and it looks dated still. We get seated and are immediately greeted by a friendly older gentleman. The man kindly explains the menu and the specials he has for the day including soups. We place a drink order, and he comes out with a glass of wine and pours it in front of us. We order our food which was Duck and Shirmp Scampi. Both with french onion soup. We finish our soups and main course and order dessert (which was its own amazing experience). The place was staffed by a total of 3 people and not once did I see them not working. They were all extremely polite, helpful, and ultimately friendly. We were here for a total of 1:45 minutes. I CAN NIT STRESS THUS ENOUGH QUALITY COMES WITH TIME. That is exactly what we received for the service and food. The food tasted, looked, and was presented and explained immaculately. You just have to try yourself because words could not describe the quality of flavors. I did not have a bad taste in my mouth once. I did not hear a microwave ding. The dessert I ordered (banana foster) was pushed out on a cart and prepared right in front of me by the gentleman who I now found out was the chef. He explained all the ingredients and how he prepared it and it tasted delectable. I can not recommend this place enough hope you give it a shot and it stays around.

This taste of the food really blew me away. I came for breakfast/brunch expecting typical diner taste, however, the items I had were top notch. Reminds me of something you would find closer to DTLA or West LA, but without all the pretentious atmosphere. Not cheap but absolutely worth the price. The talented chef came out to talk with us which never happens at other restaurants. Excellent service, I will be back next time I'm in the area.

Came in today for a quick lunch. Decided to try the Monte Cristo sandwich. The sandwich was great! Seasoned to perfection, great batter and fry on the crust with a nice melted cheese inside. The portion was just right for this rich flavored sandwich. It came served with fries that were perfectly cooked. I was a bit surprised by the ketchup packets instead of just being given a small dish of ketchup. They just seemed out of place with quality of the meal and presentation. But this was just an observation on my part, I'm sure they have a reason for it. First time here, and I will definitely be back again since I work nearby.

My family and I have been going here for years, it is family owned and they truly go out of their way to treat you as a part of theirs, the food is amazing and never disappoints. My personal favorite is the champagne chicken crepes

It's a gem hidden in Colton. Russ is the best, he's a 12. Take time to meet the owner. Deserts were yummy. The Food's presentation was a delight. $$ to $$$ but worth it. Lg Mac are fries $6......really. .

The best restaurant experience I've had in a long time . The steak and eggs are delicious along with their potatoes. My mom had their champagne chicken and it perfectly moist aswell as tasty. I also recommend their banana caramel french toast and mixed berry crepes. Their service was amazing , I had the pleasure of meeting Leticia and Russell. F.Y.I the owner is also the head cook so you know the food is on point right down to the presentation.

Well damm where do I start so this place to me is a hugely need to try hidden gem 💎 in Colton right there between Mount Vernon and Colton area the back way if you know anything about it It's on a corner right across stater Bros The chief that works there her father he knows how to cook The taste and the food everything pairs together perfectly driving by this place you would never think it's open but once you open that door walk in and sit down and eat you know why I'm telling you to go there It's a must try spot check it out!!
