First and foremost, great atmosphere. We've been here twice, both times for dinner. The main dinner hall and the bar but have a great vibe. They also have patio seating for those wanting to enjoy a lake view. The food, however, hasn't been very impressive. At our most recent visit, we ordered the brushetta and potato skins for appetizers, both we decent. One entree was a wet burrito which should really have been called a dry burrito. Not great. The carbonara was ok but we added chicken and that wasn't brought out. We also tried the morel chicken and it was ok though the chicken was a bit dry. Service was questionable. We asked for several things multiple times before receiving them, slow service, appetizers came out practically with our entrees. Just not super impressed by our experiences.
Stopped in for dinner and was not disappointed. Got the Burger & Brew special and Flank Steak salad. First medium well burger that was actually medium well cooked in a long time. Great char grilled taste. The fries were cooked perfectly. The Flank steak was also cooked and seasoned perfectly. The dressing that comes with the salad is different but very tasty. Our server was very nice and attentive.
Perfect location to grab a bite , watching the sun set into the lake! Loved the outdoor seating, with the swing-type seating. Service was great - very friendly!
Food was delicious. Sat outside. Service was good not great...seemed like our waitress had something else on her mind!
Cadillac’s best restaurant. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. It’s truly impressive how the Halls and Chef Howie have stayed so consistent over the years. The clam chowder is better than chowder from New England. The chili is award winning for a reason. The fish fry is incredible and is the best in the area (they sell out quick, get there early!) The Garwood is my favorite sandwich. The fast-track lunch buffet is diverse and tasty, including a hot entree, soup, DIY sandwich making, salads, and cookies. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, with plenty of boating eye-candy to take in and views of Lake Mitchell from certain tables and from the patio. Stop in and enjoy a delicious, relaxing meal.
The patio has ROCKING, COVERED booths! The coolest thing ever! And you get to enjoy great food and service with a great lakeside view!
I want to thank Lakeside Charlie's for their care of my friends and I. The waitresses did Fantastic jobs! The Food was delicious, as always! We will be back!
If I could, I'd rate it a 3.5. The onion rings were great. The fries were pretty good, and nice and hot. The sandwiches were average. I did appreciate that they were not unnaturally large. The service was quite slow. I'm writing this now waiting for our server so we can get our check, but there has been no sign of her for some time and it is not at all busy. She was plenty kind, so she helped this review round up rather than down
