It has long been my opinion that you can estimate how good a Mexican restaurant is based on their salsa. La Penca Azul's salsa is amazing and has been consistent for well over a decade! I highly recommend a visit for breakfast, lunch, or dinner; you won't be disappointed.

I've tried many Mexican restaurants, but this one is by far the best. I ordered grilled chicken salad and beef quesadilla to go. The the experience was amazing. The staff were very friendly and recommended good food. Good packaging. Very satisfied. Will definitely try dine in.

The service here was quick, and the staff was friendly. The food was really good. I grew up eating here, and I haven't had anything I didn't like.

Good old faithful. It was one of the first sit-down restaurants where I learned about the industry as a whole. I have a lot of core memories with friends and acquaintances here. I think eventually my friends grew tired of coming here, and I felt my chicken wings recipe also change. 😕 But that will never stop me from having a positive opinion of this place. I think for a restaurant, it is near perfect. I hope many people can try the food and drink here as well as the hospitality.

The place is a great spot. Quiet, beautiful. The service is good. Some waitresses are better than others in their customer service. All friendly. The food is not bad but It is very seasoned. More than they need. Plates are huge so you can share. They are pet friendly. They have tables outside. The price is between 20-30 if you share and don’t drink. It is 30-50 if you drink some tequilas.

Sorry, i never leave a bad reviews but this time i had too. This is the second time visiting since the pandemic and gotten the same result. Bad service and extremely long wait time on receiving your food. I ordered a torta and it was probably the worst I’ve had. Not to mention the extreme wait time after ordering our food. Torta lacked taste and was very small. Felt overpriced for how plain the meal was. This is my last time visiting.

The food does not taste good or like authentic Mexican food. The flavors are bland and strange. My husband ordered fish tacos and they gave him more cabbage than fish. The ambiance also is uncomfortable. The servers were really nice and attentive which was a plus.

Fast and friendly, with great food. The quesabirria come highly recommended from other people I’ve been here with, but they have one of the best California burritos north of San Diego so I always end up ordering it. You won’t be disappointed!
