Delicious! Came here for brunch over the weekend, and it did not disappoint. Frankly, the food tasted much better than I expected based on the reviews and other photos. It’s a small restaurant, so make sure you come early to get a table. With that said, the service is very quick so you likely would not have a long wait for a table. The staff were not particularly friendly, but the food was delicious and very hearty. So, you will definitely leave full.

Not sure why it took me years to visit it, knew they had a great reputation - but I finally made it over with the family. Staff were super nice, and the food was great. I had the mashed potato ball filed with ground meat that they highlighted on the menu as being in Food TV - along with the salsa addon. Looked like an appetizer but I think it'd probably work as a meal for me personally. Wife has the chimichuri steak and she really enjoyed it. Also got a dish that was tiny bites of plantain and burrata ... and it was tasty but felt very expensive for what it was. Also, it was less burrata and more just a tiny slice of fresh mozzarella. Nice to try, but a skip going forward. And finayllly, got tres leches for dessert - honestly not my favorite version of it. Will try something different next time. Overall, looked like there were a lot of killer items on the menu and I wanna go back to try more.

You have to go to La Isla if you are in Hoboken! Their Ropa Vieja con Arroz Moro it’s a must! All of their appetizers are delicious as well. All the workers are really nice and happy to help.

One of the best Cuban Ruben sandwiches I’ve had! The think sliced steak sandwich was delicious too. Love the Cuban espresso!

Lovely local Cuban spot that has been a staple in town since the 70s food is good and friendly staff

Great spot for Cuban food 🔥Their plantains were perfect and their portion amount is generous. I would recommend getting their steak Cuban sandwich with your side preferences.

Such a warm welcome whenever my family and I come in! Great service but even more amazing is the food. They accommodate us when I bring my travel stroller which is huge for us. The coffee here is 10/10! Kid friendly and clean. The Cuban sandwiches are great, the rice and black beans are tasty. The soups and breakfasts are awesome too. Can’t say I’ve had anything I didn’t like.

Amazing Cuban cuisine. The employees are all so nice and recommend the best stuff. Don't be afraid to ask them for help if you don't know what to order. My steak was cooked perfectly. Next time I want to come and try a sandwich.
