Delicious!! Went with friends for the first time and enjoyed everything about this spot. It's located in an old train station which is a really neat setting. Large menu of all the favorites .... everything we had was great. The flan and tres leches cake to finish was perfect. We had a lot of food for not a lot of money! Can't wait to come back.

La Estacion is a fun, historic Mexican restaurant in downtown Waukesha. The employees are so kind and welcoming, and the service is fantastic. They offer a variety of margarita flavors and they're all made with real fruit. The salsa and guacamole are flavorful and fresh. We enjoyed authentic steak tacos and chicken enchiladas/chimichangas. This is the place to stop in Waukesha if you're craving Mexican food!

Furst time here, and I wasn't disappointed. The food, atmosphere, and service were on point. If I were asked, would you return... heck yeah!!

The train station aspect is really neat probably my favorite thing about the restaurant. Service was slow on a Thursday night, had to ask for water, margaritas came 10 minutes after our food was served even though they were ordered at the same time. Eating inside the train is really cool but has the downside of being really dusty with cobwebs all around. The food has been consistently under seasoned and bland. It's made well just lacks flavor, especially the shrimp.

What a wonderful place to have dinner! It's such a beautiful place to eat and it's an old train station which is really cool!

Our dinners were good. But the fried ice cream was oddly wrong: Covered with WHOLE corn flakes. No cinnamon. (Most places add honey, but not here.) And.....NOT AT ALL FRIED! Kitchen mishap and the server didn't notice? Not sure. But like I said, our main meals were good. Server girl was sweet but she had trouble understanding English to the point where a manager had to come get clarification.

I think the quality of their food has gone down over the years. I grew up coming to this restaurant and loved it, until about 4 years ago. The last couple times I tried to give them another shot was upsetting. The waitress we had the last time we went was very sweet and attentive, but the food was terrible. We went for dinner around 7PM on a Friday, they were not busy and we got sat right away. The chips were stale and I could tell that the soda I got was almost out of syrup. I ordered enchiladas and my boyfriend got tacos. The food came out almost immediately. My enchiladas were literally in a pool of grease and did not taste fresh. I couldn’t stomach even half of one because of how much grease there was. My boyfriend’s tacos were cold and bland. I decided to get their flan since usually that is a safe thing to get and hard to mess up, but it also didn’t taste fresh. I saw other reviews of food poisoning as a result from eating here and I am not surprised. The only reason I’m giving them a 2 star review is because of how nice our waitress was. There are way better options in the area for authentic Mexican food.

Cool location. Friendly staff. Food is always pretty solid.
