Jordan was absolutely incredible! Very helpful with giving recommendations for our first visit! The food was incredible and even went above and beyond to allow my son to try coconut shrimp (he LOVED IT!) Thanks Jordan!!
Waitress Kaitlin was very sweet gave great recommendations and accommodated me and my bf very well. Our food was so good and so were the drinks. 10/10 recommended. We will be back.
I use to frequent the Kona at Easton about once a week, it was my go to for lunch, then it closed and I was so sad. I was recently in Cincinnati and googling lunch restaurants and was so happy to see a Kona listed, plus we would arrive just in time for Happy Hour. When we arrived the restaurant was empty, I mean really empty, nearly every table was vacant but for some reason they chose to conduct an interview two tables away from us. I just thought that was odd. That being said, it is a beautiful restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was prompt and friendly. Our server was attentive but not annoying. The Bama roll was perfect, beautiful tight roll, great flavor, and fresh. The ribeye meatballs were moist and delicious, served on top a little dollop of mashed potatoes, they were probably our favorite thing. The pot stickers had an over powering flavor of onion, it was off putting. The macadamia nut popcorn chicken was cooked perfectly but the accompanying sauce was bland. The avacado roll was ok, but the sauce was different than I remember. Let's talk about the sliders, these were a disappointment, but to be fair I really miss the old sliders that had house made pickles and came with fries, those pickles were awesome. These sliders were dry, very dry, kinda sad little things. We will return, because we didn't have room for carrot cake. Kona has a great menu, a trendy decor. I think you will be over all satisfied with your dinning experience there.
We had such a great time. We went for the late night happy hour food. It was amazing. We got 2 sushi rolls, happy hour surf and turf, shrimp and chicken lettuce wraps and ribeye meatballs. OMG 😍those ribeye meatballs are so good. You have to try them. They come with mashed potatoes. The flavors meshed so well together. Everything was good and seasoned great as always. The surf and turf was gone before I remembered to take the pictures. We were celebrating my birthday. The waiter gave me a cake and ice cream and it was so delicious.
My crunch spicy tempura was too spicy, but was tasty. Drinks were not as I expected. But at leats was able to enjoy it.
Thank you for a great experience at Kona Grill. I’ve never been here before and the food & service was great! Alex is so bright and helpful, her positive energy & bright smile are contagious, Kona is lucky to have her as an employee!!! Thank you ✨
So, it's not a bad place, by any means. It's a lot fancier than I expected and the servers are nice. I wouldn't go back because the each item was about $20 or more and I wasn't particularly impressed by any of the food when I ate there. I got an appetizer and some sushi. The appetizer was good, the sushi was good too. It's a good spot to visit, I would say to give it a try and get your own opinion, I'm just not interested in going back.
The food was out of this world. We were seated on the rooftop which was the perfect night for it. However the real winner in all this was my wife and I due to the amazing service we received from Carrie. This was our first time at Kona Grill and will definitely return. Be sure to ask for Carrie when you go.
